a great place for a beer in the sunshine or an evening out. excellent pizzas and a great beer range. the service is friendly and they know the beer well. we particularly loved sitting in their outside area on a sunny day.

great selection of quality beers, brewed in the south island, in sunny nelson!

i haven't been here in a while, but the welly on a plate selection of mini pies and matching beers were superb!

a good atmosphere, nice patrons, and a good range of craft beer at a reasonable price. however the service is appalling. every time the bar staff ignore the customers asking to purchase at the bar!

this pl has a cool casual vibe to it. in summer has a great spot out the back to sit and catch up with friends. fantastic selection of craft beers. i recommend the tasting tray so you can try a variety of beers.

walking passed here the thing that drew us in was the idea of byo food. something that considering how many options there are on jackson street, works well. the sprig and fern does offer food, but it's the range of beers that is the drawcard. it also as a good range of non-alcholic drinks as well

really cool little place tucked into petone, good selection of craft beers and good wine list. pizzas are really tasty with good quality ingredients. outdoor fire and garden bar are fantastic and the staff are always friendly. great little local.

as far as eating goes, have only had the curly fries and the odd packet of crisps. if we are eating down this end of jackson street we love to meet people in here first for a drink or two.they have a good selection of beers, ciders and other drinks. the atmosphere is very much like an english pub and the place has a nice feeling. miss11 likes coming in here for their word puzzle on the wall and selection of board games.

paid an initial visit the other day. liked the layout and ambiance on a beautiful sunny saturday. will go back and try some more of their craft beer and the food. the dark was a most palatable brew. rating based on initial impression.

i went back again the other day and took some photos. this place seems to sneak up on your with it's intriguing and charming design. the beer ain't bad either.

have yet to sample the food and the ciders look intriguing. so i am very much afraid that more visits will be required. shame!
