great lunch spot. how many restaurants in this slumping economy would offer a portion of their sales go to the tsunami relief in japan? i'm so blessed to have stumbled upon this place while circling aimlessly around for some place to eat with my business lunch date in the passenger seat. thank goodness i took the gps upgrade on the rental car earlier at the airport. now this could have been such a tragic embarrassment that would have left me professionally hurting. fortunately, my business lunch date was talking about his side business as a distributor of some crazy health powder that can cure alzheimer's or something... i dun no, i forget. no really, all i heard was blah blah pyramid scheme blah blah amway is now quixtar blah blah blah blah bllllaaaahhhh... while picking lint off his snazzy slacks and flicking it onto the car floor. thanks, guy... awesome. awesomely awkward. must... think... quickly... there, in the distance! i see vibrant color. and a sign that seems a bit quirky. looks cute. parking in front. it's a nice day. the patron saints of chance and procrastination are shining upon me. plan b is the new plan a. its official. i loved the inside! during business lunches like this, ambiance is more important than the food. i had the pot pie which was amazing! and he had some kind of sandwich which he raved about. the place was quiet enough to talk shop, and the service was attentive but not intrusive. whew!!!! i will definitely make this place a convenient business lunch spot from now on when in oakland
