short-changed. sadly, i have to agree with ryan about the service - let me tell you about what i saw on the weekend of mar. 26th. i had ordered my fish & chips (their specialty) and stepped aside to wait for my food. the next customer behind me was an asian couple that ordered the same thing and got short-changed $10. he paid with a $100 bill (not a good idea at these little places run by minimum waged cashiers, imo). anyways, i remember this exchange because of how the cashier acted with this guy. she handed him a wad of cash without counting it back to him - with me, she counted the bills in front of me (i paid with a $20 bill). secondly, she walked away as soon as she gave him the money. i saw her go into the kitchen and disappear for a minute while there were other customers in line (quite unusual...). maybe this exchange didn't exactly scream racism but subtlety, there seemed to be some disrespect there. anyways, the cashier put up an argument but since i saw the whole exchange and he never stepped away from the counter, i can honestly say that the cashier intentionally short-changed him. it's sad...but i don't blame the restaurant, they sure do have good fish & chips!
