sozo sushi restaurant

so much food here. i always forget when i order just how much food i'm going to get for the dollar, a lot. if you look at my picture of the beef and chicken terriyaki combo you'd see that you get a whole lotta grub for fifteen bucks, what's missing from the picture is the warm bowl of miso soup. the chicken is tender, beef a little chewy, tempura sublime. the batter they use on the tempura is very light and not at all oily. my next meal will ditch the beef, keep the chicken and add a little more tempura. all of the sushi looked beautiful, very nicely prepared, the better half cleaned her plate and got an extra order of tobiko, loved it. this is our go to japanese restaurant, nothing fancy just a lot of good food for the money.

huge amount of food. decent .

i can see why my parents like to frequent sozo sushi. the food is great with fresh ingredients. i’d definitely go back…and i’d order the raiders roll for sure (even though i’m a 49ers fan).

best sushi for the price. full bellies @ about $15-20 per person

like it. i like the bento box items and the unique specialty sushi creations.

oh my gosh i absolutely love this place! i used to go here with my best friend all the time. i love the rolls and i think that this resteraunt is a 5 star!!

just amazing. the food was outstanding. i can honestly say that they serve the best chinese food in the east bay. all of the food had good flavor to it, our server was really nice and the restaurant was elegantly decorated. i would recommend this place to anyone looking for good chinese food.

if you're looking for a great deal on a japanese bento dinner, i recommend sozo sushi. their $16.99 bento special dinner includes enough for two people (combination tempura, chicken teriyaki, rice, salad, 3 pieces california roll, 3 pieces nigiri and 8 pi

good for bento dinners...not for sushi. good bento dinners, but their quality of sushi isn't that good. of course, if you just like ordering rolls with lots of sauce, that does disguise the true taste of the fish, so you may not even notice quality...but if you order their nigiri, you can tell.

they do offer complimentary miso soup and edamame, so that's a plus...most places offer one or the other or neither!

best sushi in the east bay. tonight i got a to go order from sozo and for just over $20 i had a full on meal that lasted me all night. i wanted these to last and they give you so much for your dollar so i even have lunch tomorrow.

once again i had to get my favorite the vera cruz and as usual it was a scrumptious and filling treat. but i also ordered the loco three amigo's which is the crunchy maki version of the three amigo's. the crunchy maki is the sushi then battered tempura style and deep fried to a golden brown. and on the inside tuna, salmon and himachi w/ cucumber, avocado and the entire thing topped with a spicy cream sauce. well this entire thing was full of texture, flavor and crunch. i have definitely found a new sozo favorite.
