i've been here twice. the food is done very well. the decor is southwestern and fun to look at. service is a bit slow. could be the small kitchen.

winner! delicious and bountiful food with southwestern elements. friendly and fast service, our waitress was on top of everything. they have a cool bus/bar outside where you can hang out and have a drink while waiting for your table. lovely experience!

really enjoy the food here. little bit of a wait on the weekends, but with food this good, what do you expect. portion sizes are good. so if u eat lunch here, prepare to want to take a nap afterwards.

decided to stop by for lunch since the reviews were so good. i ordered the grande eggs combo and my boyfriend had sopapillas. the service was not great, the food was not hot when it got to our table, maple syrup for pancakes cost an extra $1, which they did not mention, and the food itself was mediocre at best. we noticed others had lunch cards and were not offered one. would not likely go back to this place.

i am not a patient man. i can wait maybe—maybe—30 minutes at a restaurant, but only if it has a bar i can sit at and bitterly nurse a whiskey while eyeballing every slow eating diner in the place. that is why i haven’t posted on southwest diner before. twice i tried to go on the weekend for brunch, and twice i was greeted with a wait of over an hour. sure, they have a bus outside the restaurant you can wait in, but the last thing i want to do on a saturday morning is listen to people babble. i just want to shovel food into my face.

went there about a month ago. staff was extra nice and helpful! place was fun and clean. food was extra delicious. i ordered a blt and it was super yummy. my friend got a breakfast burrito and it was giant. she said it was delicious.

quite possibly my favorite brunch spot in all of st. louis. very reasonably priced food. they have long lines but you can wait in their special bus in the back which has a bar and coffee inside. food is surprisingly good quality considering the low price. i would highly suggest their avocado salad special. it's listed as an appetizer but it is easily large enough to be a meal of its own. can get a little warm inside the restaurant during the summers.

everything here- yes. always go for huevos rancheros and they blow my mind everytime. the biscuits and gravy are spicy and it is the best addition to any classic. if you go on sat or sun you will have to wait, but they have a funky little bus you can go buy brunch cocktails on (bloodies & mimosas) or have a complementary coffee.

lives up the the good reviews!! grits on fire was a special the day we were there - so unique and flavorful! you won't leave hungry - large portions!

absolutly love this place!. i am picky!

i am new to the neighborhood and have been to this place 5 times in the past month! it's funky, it's fun and most importantly the food is always amazing!

an absolute joke. sat there for 15 minutes when there was 4 other tables in the place. someone brought us water but then no one came over at all. will never be back.

taste of home. if you are from the desert southwest or simply like the food from the west texas/new mexico area and are in st louis, this is the place to be. good flavorful chile make the meals here just spectacular. i only had the green but i am sure the red is just as good and i can't wait for my next time here to try it. if they are busy..........wait it is more than worth it.

i heard they had good pie.. i drove by and the sign reminded me that they had pie. i circled the block and parked. i stood at the till waiting to order my pie, and after about ten minutes, i decided it was no longer worth the wait for anyone to sell me some pie. :(
