food is pretty good, but service is slow and terrible. waiter, d paz, never came back to refill our drinks. what should have been a 1 hr meal at the absolute most turned into a 2 hr visit.

i got the st louis style ribs and they tasted great. meat fell off the bone really easy. only negative about the ribs is they slow cooked them too long, meaning the rib bone would break in half.

taking a non-vote on smokey canyon bbq would be the easy way out, however i just have not been impressed here. my first visit was a few years ago and i did not care for their presentation of st. louis style ribs. at the time, my inclination was to never go negative on new local restaurants.
i decided to return this week after the long absence and tried the homemade chili for lunch and french toast since they recently began serving weekend breakfast. for the chili, i requested cheese and red onion for my topping, but it was like i was having my grated cheese with a little chili instead of the other way around.
today's weekend breakfast did no better, as the french toast was served with a side of cold bacon.
to their credit, the bacon was replaced but it was just underwhelming. the restaurant is nice and there are a few flat screen televisions, but deficiencies in the kitchen do not make up for the amenities.
if you are familiar with the term butterface, think butterfood.

great barbecue and great service. very friendly staff.

we lived in california for about 2 months now. we're from ohio, and in the two months we've been here, this is the best food we've had. it reminded us of the food we get back home. it wasn't pretentious and didn't try to be something it wasn't. the food was excellent, service was good, and location is easy to find. 5 stars from me!!!

only good thing was the service. the food was bland. the only thing with any taste to it was the garlic fries, it's hard to go wrong with garlic.

loved the ribs. they make their baked beans with three different types of beans. yum. friendly service.

great pulled pork. go here every time i visit my family in riverside, great staff and the pulled pork is awesome. the beans and french fries are very good also!
