my first visit there was yesterday, and i honestly feel as though i need to make a return visit to really be able to say whether i like it or was disappointed. the food was pretty good, and i was actually impressed / surprised by the bottled beer selection. i sampled a few items from the menu, starting with the potato leek soup. it was a bit thick -- had the consistency of runny mashed potatoes -- but the flavor was decent. i would have liked a few more chunks of potato. but, c'est la vie! i then tried a bite or two of the nachos (which, for dietary purposes only, we're ordered without chili or jalapeños), and was pleasantly surprised. the chips, i'm assuming, are made in-house. they were still nice and warm and crispy when they came out, and were not salty. toppings were not excessive either, which allows you to also enjoy the chip. finally, i tried the caprese salad. i was very impressed! the mozzarella was very fresh, nice and soft. it was accompanied by roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and a balsamic reduction (which was surprisingly a tad sweet, which was nice!) over a bed of romaine lettuce. i wound up taking most of it home, but enjoyed what i was able to eat there. the only disappointing thing about this visit was the fact that our waitress, albeit nice, was a bit slow. we didn't receive silverware until the entrees came out, and it took a while did the "to go" boxes to come out. overall, not a bad experience; i just would like one more visit before i "like" it or not.
