silver orange bistro

superb culinary experience! pairing of food and wine is incredible, as well as the menu choices. taste combinations are delightful and full of flavour. the only let down of the restaurant is being child unfriendly. that is why, sadly enough, we stopped dining there.

we visited silver orange bistro today for lunch . what a lovely drive and beautiful find in harties.
the food was very good and tasty . service was awesome , loved the environment and ambiance .
it was definitely worth the trip !!!!
their sustainable fish dish was beautiful i throughly enjoyed that .
i would definitely recommend this bistro if you happen to be in harties 🙌🏾😍
they also have extensive wine list even though we didn't have wine today .

this hidden gem found on an orange orchard is an incredible spot for a special occasion or just a long lazy lunch. the chef, also owner changes the menu often enough to enjoy something new. don't worry though cause the best sellers always stay put. an extensive platinum dinners club awarded wine list allows you to pair carefully with the delicious dishes. try the duck and fig samoosas and the peanut brittle ice cream bar. the decor and service is fantastic and this restaurant is worth the drive out. book now for an unforgettable time!!

amazing place!! well.presented and tasty.. only had starter and deserts, we definitely coming back for a 3 course..the ambiance and service is fast and stuff well trained....its a "must try"...

what an exceptional experience !

firstly , let me start off by commending the restaurant for their service . our waiter , charles, was truly lovely.

secondly , the wine list really is great. it is extensive, offering a variety of wines for every pocket.

thirdly, the food. wow. what a sensory overload. upon arrival a complimentary bread board is provided that wakes the taste buds.

tonight we ordered the tempura sushi and the goats & blue cheese cheesecake for starters. both were delicious, but i must say that the sushi was simply incredible.

upon reading the menu we were drawn to the fish dishes , and naturally that is what we ordered. and, well, let me put it this way we are still in awe.
the moroccan-spiced salmon was sensational; and the sea bass prepared with chorizo, clams and prawns was out-of-this-world!

finally, for dessert we had the peanut butter parfait which was the cherry on top of our exemplary dinning experience.

lovely setting. beautiful birds around. we were the only table for saturday breakfast so there was no vibe. perhaps more of a dinner place. but food was beautifully plated and well priced.

excellent food and service. well done. better than most sandton top restaurants. meat superb. rven the pasta perfectly prepared.deserts worth breaking the diet for.

went back last night with a group if 8. not sure who was in the kitchen. tasteless and very disappointing. left early before desert. not even the youngsters wanted to attempt anything else. a regular visitor here during past few years ..... need to give it a miss for a while .

everything about this place is okay. there is nothing bad to say, but also nothing that stands out.

culinary heaven! everything about this place is superb, from the service, quaint deco to citrus gardens and the surprise gin bar at bottom of the property!

from making a reservation to ending lunch with coffee ... the silver orange experience was pleasant and fantastic! love the cosy quaint vibe of the classy, upmarket restaurant. the menu is great and also the wine list is excellent. the service is tops and waiters friendly, warm and well informed ... we had a beautiful table setting which was scattered with rose petals for an extra special feel and look. the starter, mains and dessert was absolutely faultless and so delicious. the decor and ambiance is so relaxing and beautiful. would like to try the more casual restaurant almost orange and will definitely return again soon to try other dishes. it’s the small little things and detail that made our dining experience more enjoyable. 👌🏻😋🤍🍊

fabulous lunch out in the country and just a hop skip and jump from joburg. exceptionally tasty food which was beautifully plated! awesome wine selection ! 5 stars from me ! will be back again

maybe i’m being too critical . but the food was average and service also average . expected better but overall it was ate able. def not coming back

the food is always exceptional here. fresh and delicious. we went again the other evening and sat on the patio, sipped on a gin while watching a beautiful thunderstorm. what a lovely setting!

what a great find so far from the city. modern bistro food with strong italian influence. extensive wine list with a substantial portuguese wine list - all wines priced very reasonable.
