om, nom, and the kids were in the mood for some pizza, and we had not been to sicily’s for some time, so it was a sunday night at sicily’s!
om: the place was pretty empty, but i guess that is kind of expected on a sunday night. the waitress was either confused, new, or was more concerned with talking to her co-workers. she forgot our menu’s, then forgot our silverware, and didn’t bring out plates for our appetizer…usually their service is good but this was disappointing. we ordered some fried ravioli for the appetizer, and they were good, but i don’t think that the olive garden should serve a far superior appetizer to a local favorite like sicily’s. the sicily’s version lacked size and presentation, and could have used more batter. the pizza was very good though. it’s a great combination of cheese and sauce, and i love their crust. it’s also a heck of a value. for a straight cheese pizza, it’s one of the best in town. watch for coupons in their emails and the mckinney publications!
nom: we were one of two groups of customers in the restaurant sunday night. i’ve always like this place the service has always been good as well as the food and the price! ok, so our waitress was less than attentive. we sat down to no silverware and so when our appetizer came we had nothing to eat it with, then when the pizza came we had nothing to eat it on! we started with the fried ravioli and the order only fed 6 people…wait we were a party of 5…oh yeah…we didn’t have any silver ware so jon dropped his trying to cool it off and so i gave him mine. so no ravioli for me but it looked good and everyone seemed to like them! then comes the pizza…very very good pizza! this is a place where i could make a meal of the crust. the kids demolished the cheese pizza, it’s really that good. jon had a bowl of spaghetti with butter sauce as well and he inhaled that so i think it had to be good. ok for 5 of us we got out of there for a little over $50. but we fed 5 people, still watch for coupons because that was the cost with a coupon!
