it's the best breakfast i have ever had. you should stop by and try it.

small cafe but with a lot of charm. we waited a while for a table but the cafe was comfortable and the art was adorable. each table has trivia cards to enjoy while your waiting (sometimes a while if it's busy) for your food which is fun. the menu isn't very big but there's something for everyone. some of the best eggs i've had in a restaurant in a long time. and the cornbread... holy crap get the cornbread. it's amazing! i will definitely be going back for another meal!

food is ok but not worth the 45 minute wait to get a seat then the 45 minute to a hour wait for the food to get to your table there are better places in the area that figured out how to get
good to your table in a reasonable time

fun, fresh, favorite breakfast place. walking up to shorty's, you can tell by the outdoor garden & decor that this place is original. it's funky and colorful. inside there is always interesting local art on display. try the patio tables if you want fresh air. breakfast is the real allure, though they do offer wraps, sandwiches, etc. the food is fresh. always interesting daily specials. we have repeatedly had good service. the wait can be long, especially during peak times. sometimes there's a line to get in. other times the food is slow to come out. it's not a place we would take small children because you hafta have patience. but it's sooo worth the wait. and it feels good to support local business. i respect that in the past 11 years, they've raised nearly $60,000 for meals on wheels. it's a great place to linger and chat with friends over a meal.

the wait is so long but we read other reviews and knew this going in.
special omelette with egg whites, mushrooms, herbs, and red pepper sauce was good.
son's sandwich lacked cheese for size and way to much mustard- carmelized onions nice touch.
hubby's sunflower omelette was just ok
zucchini bread had cornmeal in it - not a fan but homemade biscuit good
not really worth wait - $30 for three

great food. you might have to wait for a table and you might have a wait after you order but it will be well worth it. it is a popular place. it is not the usual diner food. they can do regular bacon and eggs but it is what you won't find on anyone else's menu that they do best. the chef is excellent and imaginative i can't decide what my favorite dish is . the service is fine the prices are reasonable the ambiance is casual. but the food!! that's why i go there.

pretty good food, but consistently bad service coupled with unfriendly servers have made this place somewhere to just drive past from now on

funky place, healthy choices, nice people. the food here is great, especially the creative breakfast omelet and pancake specials. healthy choices and grains available. cool, creative artwork on the walls. great staff, nice, friendly. usually a wait, but well, well worth it!

my weekend routine. i love shorty's ... though some people have mentioned the wait for food i find it well worth it because you know the food is being cooked fresh from scratch and it gives me time to sit and talk with the people i'm going to breakfast with. i go every sunday i'm able to with my one friend and it's one of our favorite routines.

awesome! the "shortie's favorite" was perfect, best zuchini bread i've had.... it was a bit slow but it was packed the whole time i was there and the cooks were going full tilt, guarantees everything is fresh. i'd rather wait a while here than get a quick meal at denny's....

love it!. friendliest spot in the area! we absolutely love the food and atmosphere here. if you want a plain, greasy meal - go to a diner. if you want to truly enjoy a unique and delicious breakfast, this is the spot. love the zuccini bread, breakfast burrito, and sunflower omelet! the chalkboard specials are always fun. the friendly wait staff are attentive and fast. lastly, there is something speacial about a place when you can always see the owners cooking away in plain view in the kitchen. give the place an authentic feel.

ok love the food, hate how slow they are. my kids dread going here because you can easily wait 45 minutes for your food... i don't mean waiting for a table, i mean ordering and waiting 45 minutes for your food. it is consistently a wait and i've easily eaten here 50 times. the food however is great. zucchini bread and corn bread both rock and the pancakes are amazing if you love big fluffy ones. i have stopped by for lunch and enjoyed it as well, the sweet potato fries are great.
