shogun japanese restaurant

high point is home to a surprising number of japanese eateries, several of which begin with s (shogun, sake, shinko grill, etc.). given this near-ubiquity, any one of them would have to be especially good or especially bad to stand out. shogun is neither though it does offer decent food at reasonable prices.

we go here all the time! it's great sushi for a great price, diamond in the rough as you may not see the sign passing by but once you eat here you'll love them!

great sushi, great prices.. my family and i have been dining here for over 5 years. we've never had a bad experience. the prices are excellent, as is the quality. they have the best sushi in high point in my opinion.

great little place. i 've been eating at shogun's for years. i agree with the diamond in the rough assessment. the folks there have always treated me as if they knew me; friendly greetings and patient as i made my sushi selection from the "all-you-can-eat" menu. as a matter of fact, as soon as i finish this review i'm going to call in for some sushi to take home.

i eat sushi here often and it is my favorite. clean and fresh. good operators. hibachi is good also.

great habachi. i absolutely love habachi but have not been able to find a japanese restaurant that has any up to my standards...until i found this diamond in the ruff! i usually order the steak and chicken mixed habachi which is always great. they have an all-you-can-eat sushi special which is also pretty good (my husband usually gets this) but it does take a while to get your order if you come in when they only have one sushi chef working. the prices are pretty reasonable as well.

sushi. we had a wonderful lunch sushi special today. love shogun's dynamite roll which is kind of like spicy tuna with a crunch. my buddy enjoyed his big portion of hibachi chicken too. great!

not a clean sushi place. wait too long to get your order. never again!!!!!

disorganized!. so i went back for a quiet dinner with my mother and everything went ok. until it took them 50 mins to bring my sushi order after i complained that other people that sat down after us had gotten their order, eaten and left and my order still hadn't arrived. after i complained my order was out in 5 mins.... but my that time my mothers hubachi order was already cold. this restaurant isn't worth visiting. the waitresses never smile and can't keep track of their tables order. no one apologized for the delay of my sushi. the quality of the fish also isn't that good.

a good option. i've gone a couple times now and i would definitely recommend this place. its not the best but by no means the worst place to eat. its clean and well priced. you can tell that the people that work there care and that is a major plus for me. the sushi was good and the hubachi portions were great too!
