absolutely special time at beat street! while miss beautiful french yves, so happy to see barrista sam! i love his great coffee, topped off with delicious froth, darling... what more could a woman want?

went there for brunch today and i would say that was a very unpleasant dining experience. i had good impression of the cafe's setting when i walked in, but the waitresses were just unacceptably rude. i really wanted to take my aunt out for a nice brunch, so just pretend i was happy the whole time, but arghhh, such a uncomfortable 2 hours eating there!!! i hate myself having even spent money there. with my grabone voucher, we only ordered 2 breakfast items and a pot of tea for 2 and was still over $40! even without grab one, there won't be much difference really. the two waitress, one has a sullen face, doesn't know how to smile tho we smiled at her every time she talks to us (isn't that the very basic or first thing you learn when you take on a customer service job?!) and another one's expression just can't be more arrogant, they just looked as if they are doing me a favour, it's an honour that i can be talking to them....i felt so sorry have taken my aunt there, i hope she didn't see all that ...the food was fine,  but i won't pay to be treated like that again, who would anyway, so won't recommend.

wonderful experience, my husband and i had their special breakfast which was enough for two and also a tea pot which was real tea. every thing was great.

great coffee (which is hard to find in this area, believe it or not), lovely staffs. food is good, and i'm surprised at the variety of choices.

great service, good atmosphere, we had breakfast but eggs and muffins over cooked. if the breaky had no problems it would be a 5 out of 5...

i remember when 7 first opened, i met one of the owners at the twisted hop in poplar lanes. she advised me that this was going to be a café that defined food, rather than catering to the masses.

from the outset this was always going to be a difficult statement to follow on from, but the thing is i do enjoy the variety presented at 7. from the early days when they did the berocca special breakfast, to enjoy simpler salads and savouries it's one of the few places i take a trip across town to visit.

service is typically good, place is clean and the food a pleasure. i'll keep coming back just to see what is new.

popped in on way to work to buy muffin and coffee. coffee ok, and the savoury muffin was awful. too much flour, so crumbly and dry, and maybe too much baking powder or baking soda, as the taste was bitter.

had breakfast on 18/11/13 - we have never been served such a terrible meal - soggy toast, firm poached eggs, so much egg on the french toast that became bread with a coating of egg -yuk, and the kids egg and bacon muffin was rubbish. i requested our eggs to be redone and didn't get any apology for what we were served in the first place. i will never return to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.

easy to book online. someone contacted me early on a weekend day so that was excellent. great service and delicious food.

we went to this cafe after reading all the good reviews on menumania. after having eaten there, we thought it was strictly average. service was ok but nothing you wouldn't find anywhere else. food was a little slow coming out - we all ordered off the lighter fare menu but it took about 35-40min for orders to come out. salads were quite bland and while they came with a nice serving of bread, there was literally about a tablespoon of hummus to go with it. the bitterballen was again ok, but nothing special.

i was so glad to be able to book online, especially as it was a public holiday and was rung to have my booking confirmed. when we arrived we had an unexpected extra guest turn up and the staff quickly found us a larger table without any fuss or bother. the food was excellent and the service tops and the coffee couldn't be better. it's definitely a place i will frequent and take my friends to. a big thank you to all the staff at seven cafe and all the best for the future.
