ridiculous service. waited 15 minutes on a dead thursday with no service at all. there were 5 people altogether in the restaurant, but no one even came to get our drink orders. when we told the hostess that we were leaving, she gave a snotty reply. waste of my time.

not great korean food and snobby service. from the reviews we were expecting great things, but sadly seoul garden did not deliver. we had also heard good things from a local korean gentleman, but now i'm thinking maybe he had a little bias in his opinion about this restaurant being the best korean food in nashville. first and foremost, this place is way over priced for korean food and what you get. if you sit at the bbq tables, expect to pay $50+, and if you don't sit at the bbq tables - don't expect to be a very important guest at this restaurant. i didn't notice the service to be that great anywhere in the restaurant, but if you don't sit at the mandatory two-meal bbq table you're out of luck. the food was decent, but of all the korean meals i have had (i've spent two summers in korea and have eaten at many korean restaurants in the usa) this was the least remarkable. the banchan (sides) were somewhat irregular - i'm not really sure what they're going for - some type of fusion or just plain cheap? we ordered two entrees and the amount of banchan we received seemed lacking. also, this is the weakest kimchi i have ever tasted - it has almost no flavor. if you're new to kimchi this might be a good thing - if you're looking for the real stuff, move on. i'm hoping this is not the best nashville has to offer. there are some really great korean restaurants in tennessee, so no excuses there. above all, and as a longtime veteran of restaurant service, being a rude and snobby server does not impress. looking forward to trying korea house.

very disappointed! went today with a friend of mine for some grilled bbq. our waitress was very hard to reach and other table's waitress had keep taking care of us with asking for forks. she also treated us very badly and didn't helped us much and literally asked us for 20% tips at the end of the day after we gave her 10%. it is my second time coming to give it another try from the first experience but the service is the worst! the waitress treated us bad and treated american nice so that they could get more tips. she also burned our bbq pork.

extremely disappointed, very rude, and racist. constantly chasing down the waitress for a fork and rice. treated my son in law that he was dirt. totally ignored him. i did request to speak with the owner, the waitress said he was conveniently gone for the day. you best bet i will be calling them tomorrow. i did leave a tip to the waitress... treat your customers equally. i will be making sure all my military friends do not go to the restaurant.

a couple of weeks ago steve and i went out for dinner to celebrate my friend aubrey's birthday (aubrey has a fabulous blog - you should totally check it out!). aubrey and i are both very into food and we love trying new things and eating at old favorites. we decided that a cook-your-own korean bbq feast at seoul garden would be perfect for a birthday double-date! located just off of nolensville road, seoul garden might be the only place in town where you can grill your own meat at the table. there are about 4-5 tables that have the cook-top (you can make a reservation- just not the day-of to reserve one of these special tables). the inside decor is clean and simple, with hints of korean culture. while you dine two large screen tvs show korean pop sensations and their fabulously elaborate dance routines. while the place is clean and the service is prompt, do not expect the waitresses to be overly nice. the service was fine, but i had a feeing that our server just didn't want to deal wit

for our bbq, we ordered my favorite kalbi beef ribs, as well as spicy pork dwaeji gogi. i felt like they were a bit stingy on the kalbi, but they provided an ample plate of the pork. there was even enough for leftovers. both were tasty, but i'm all about korean bbq beef, so if i came back i might ask for double if i'm sharing.

we also ordered bibimbap, the dolsot version in the stone pot. my sister and mom don't like the stone pot version as much, but lauren loved how the rice got crispy where it touched the pot. i agree that it made it even yummier!

we enjoyed cooking our meat at the table, and everything tasted great. the service wasn't that great once our meat was cooked, but there was a decent crowd for a weeknight.

having grown up in korea, i still crave korean food at times. have traveled here from alabama twice over the past year. both experiences were great. it was fun to see a mix of both americans & koreans enjoying the food. the fried dumplings (yakki mondu) were excellent & non-greasy. the side dishes were all tasty & the bulgogi had a sweet marinade taste just like i remember from korea. the portions were more than generous & you won't leave hungry! the waitress & other staff were so polite, willing to serve & had pleasant dispositions!!
for such an authentic, quality food experience, our total bill at the bbq table for 2 people was $62. this included an appetizer, 2 entrees (w/the standard 8 side dishes that were replenished!), 2 glasses of wine & 2 soft drinks.
we will return soon & bring friends to experience a taste of korea!!

great service, great food!. wonderful service from the sweet and accommodating hostess.... the banchan were brought out a little too close to the serving of our meal but were delightful, kimchee, red chili tofu, bean sprouts, steamed broccoli. i love little bites. i got the bibimbop with meat in a hot bowl - highly recommended as it was cooking the whole time i was eating it, and by the time i dug down to the bottom some of the rice was crispy and crunchy which was an interesting contrast to the fried egg, cooked beef, and veggies. very fun dining experience. the grilled pork was also very flavorful but less exciting, served with rice but not veggies. the banchan were a good accompaniment though. definitely will go back, and i want to try the bbq where they grill at your table!
