came in because of good reviews on urban spoon, and we are soooo glad we did. the best fish and chips ever, great coleslaw (i know those words don't often go together), and generous, delicious fries that will make you hurt yourself. my husband loved the sauce in his farm burger. service was delightful--cheerful and helpful without being pushy: thanks, emily. we'll be back!

we’ve been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner.  lunch was outstanding.  we started out by sharing the fried calamari appetizer. it was excellent. my wife had the fish and chips, and she loved the fish. it also came with fries, which were good, and slaw, which was well above average especially if you added the juice of the lemon wedge provided with it. i had the avocado & pepper bacon burger. it was cooked perfectly to medium rare and was one of the best burgers i can remember eating in a long time. it was that good.
dinner was a bit less successful.  we started with a couple of martinis. they were substandard. for our appetizer, we had the jalapeno poppers, which were outstanding. they were huge jalapenos with a tasty cheese filling and a nice batter perfectly deep fried. they came with an interesting dipping sauce which was not at all hot but complemented the jalapenos well. this was one of the best jalapeno popper dishes i have ever had. my wife had the cougar gold mac & cheese with a cup of northwest clam chowder. the clam chowder was great. she rated it as one of the best she has ever had; however, she didn’t care for the mac & cheese. it didn’t have the complexity and creamy texture of a really good mac & cheese, and also did not have enough of the bread crumbs/butter topping that really makes this dish sing.  i had the dungeness crab cakes with garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini. the potatoes and broccolini were very good, and the crab cakes were not bad, but also not exceptional. they appeared to be deep fried, which is a little unusual and not really necessary. two sauces accompanied the dish: a sweet chili sauce and a traditional tartar sauce. i didn’t care for the chili sauce, but thought the tartar sauce was one of the best i’ve ever tasted. so, this dining experience had some ups and downs. when it was good, it was outstanding. when it was bad, it wasn’t really bad, just average. overall, this is a very good place.

a great dinner after a day on the sound.. a great family dinner after a day on the sound. seeds has a good kids menu and adult fair to please everyone. the house chowder was fabulous as were the fish and chips and the meatloaf plate. the have a wonderful dessert selection to finish things off -- except the cookies, stick with the pies.

lives up to the reviews. yes, the coleslaw is as good as everyone said - tender and so tasty. lots of nice gluten free options. i had the gf mac and cheese which tasted great. it did have the down side of a cheddar cheese melted - greasy to look at - but tasty to eat. i found the espresso to be really good also.

you can't ask for much more than that.

my last review of seeds was somewhat mixed. we had some great dishes and some that were just okay; however, we went here the other day for lunch and were really impressed. we started out by sharing the fried calamari appetizer. it was excellent. my wife had the fish and chips, and she loved the fish. it also came with fries, which were good, and slaw, which was well above average especially if you added the juice of the lemon wedge provided with it. i had the avocado & pepper bacon burger. it was cooked perfectly to medium rare and was one of the best burgers i can remember eating in a long time. it was that good. the serving sizes were ample (we didn’t need much of a dinner that night) and the food was great. you can’t ask for much more than that.

lots of ups and downs.

this place has an interesting menu, although the online menu is a bit out of date. we had high expectations, but ended up being somewhat disappointed. we started with a couple of martinis. they were substandard. for our appetizer, we had the jalapeno poppers, which were outstanding. they were huge jalapenos with a tasty cheese filling and a nice batter perfectly deep fried. they came with an interesting dipping sauce which was not at all hot but complemented the jalapenos well. this was one of the best jalapeno popper dishes i have ever had. my wife had the cougar gold mac & cheese with a cup of northwest clam chowder. the clam chowder was great. she rated it as one of the best she has ever had; however, she didn’t care for the mac & cheese. it didn’t have the complexity and creamy texture of a really good mac & cheese, and also did not have enough of the bread crumbs/butter topping that really makes this dish sing. i ended up eating some of it and agreed. it was better than any version of this dish you can buy in a supermarket, but nowhere near the quality of what you can make at home with a good recipe. i had the dungeness crab cakes with garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini. the potatoes and broccolini were very good, and the crab cakes were not bad, but also not exceptional. they appeared to be deep fried, which is a little unusual and not really necessary. two sauces accompanied the dish: a sweet chili sauce and a traditional tartar sauce. i didn’t care for the chili sauce, but thought the tartar sauce was one of the best i’ve ever tasted. so, this dining experience had lots of ups and downs. when it was good, it was really good. when it was bad, it wasn’t really bad, just average. my guess is that there is a lot of stuff on the menu that is really good. we definitely intend to go back.

lunch-time favorite. i always look forward to eating at seeds. it's on the top of my list for lunch restaurants.

with the exception of one poor experience (wherein the waitress made it very clear she was interested in the man i was there with, and wanted me to not be there), service is outstanding and the food is wonderful.

definitely splurge and grab a cocktail. they will not disappoint! i can't not drink when i'm here because they are so good!
on a sunny day, sit out on their small terrace and soak up the sun while you people watch. :)

a shining star in the gloom of the pacific northwest.... one fine february day a friend and i sought to escape our pacific northwestern town's gloom and travel to an equally gloomy pacific northwestern town roughly 25 minutes away. our destination was far more charming than i could have ever imagined. the atmosphere of la conner was amazing, but more amazing than the harborside halloween-town of la conner was a place called "seeds"... a quaint little modern pub with a small indoor and outdoor dining area and a bar carefully concealed in the back. amazingly nice people work in this interesting little spot, and i devoured the most amazing fish tacos i've ever had in their company. glorious. not just fried, they offer blackened and sauteed fish tacos of alaskan cod. i had 1 blackened and 1 fried. it goes amazing with a microbrew, and they even have these delicious tacos to go! monday-friday 3-6 they have half off appetizers and $1 off beer and liquor. at any rate, i loved this place. if you want to share restaurants in the area with me, i'd love to listen! twitter @steveisasailor
