pretty packed on a friday night. it's a pleasant place. the sausages are tasty, and the pretzels huge and soft. i like the mustard varieties--wish there was one more even spicier.

wide range of patrons--age, style, etc.

much better outdoor options in bellingham where you don't have to roll the dice on service or ownership who is happy to let you know that they don't care about repeat customers and don't care to talk to you with respect or reason if they don't feel like it...there are better places to spend your money, these clowns don't deserve it

nein, nein, nein.  greasy fries and lukewarm sausages that look and taste suspiciously like yesterday's road kill.  you can get better food at any bahnhof.
3/25.  in response to brad, what's this? https://www.zomato.com/photos/pv-res-17299416-r_y1mzk2nzkwmje3

i've always said bham needs more outdoor drinking establishments. schwein scratches that itch with year round liters served outside under heated cover in off season and open air in summer. fun place to catch a game during football season as well.

a nice place to get some shade on a sunny day. they have a nice selection of beer and delicious mustard and sauerkraut for your bratwurst and pretzels . only wish they had some vegetarian sausage options.

friendly couple on the street directed us to this place on a recent visit to bellingham.  really glad we checked it out!
nice large covered patio atmosphere, but no interior space. food is prepared out of a converted truck. tasty german bratwurst sausages, great beer options. felt a little expensive for the volume of food received, but still delicious.

so ein scheissdreck. first of all if you translate something with google it’s not correct. schweinhaus in german makes no sense it should say schweinehause instead.
also a traditional biergarten is on gravel and under a chestnut tree and without a fence. but the most disgusting thing is by far the food. where in the world is a currywurst made of some kind of nuernberger with curry in it. a currywurst is kind of polish or white sausage (not weisswurst) with ketchup and sprinkled with curry. it is never eaten with sauerkraut potato salad or mustard. french fries are ok.
as for the potato salad, that was very disgusting. not sure where they got there recipe but that is not a potato salad as eaten in germany. i would rather give it to the pigs.
all in all typical american scheissdreck.

schweinhaus biergarten serves up a dozen or so high-end beers/ales along with german sausage plates with sauerkraut, german potato salad and three different mustards. they also have a few items on the side, like soft and hard pretzels. my wife and i really liked our beers, and we shared a soft pretzel, which was also excellent. she had the one sausage plate with nurenberger sausage and i had the two sausage bratwurst and weisswurst plate (there are generally five different sausages to choose from). all three sausages were very good. they were not overly spicy and not at all greasy. the sauerkraut was fine, i guess (i admit as to being completely ignorant of how to judge sauerkraut quality); however, the potato salad was so-so at best. it seemed to have onions and vinegar but no bacon- which is almost always present in this style of potato salad. it needed more vinegar, but the real problem was that the potatoes were overcooked. still, we both polished off everything on our plates.

this place only has outdoor seating, so get your sausage and beer now before the fall weather sets in. one suggestion: they ought to offer the option of swapping the potato salad for a good quality hot dog bun, and have some condiments like relish, chopped onions, etc. available.
