saucy

its perfectly fine. saucy's is the type of place that you go to, for a quick, nice bite/drink. the drinks are great, the food is perfectly fine. while living in mississauga, i don't know of a better "girls night out" spot to visit with your friends, have a few drinks and not drive have to drive into the city.

ridiculously bad service. i wish they rehauled their entire wait staff. clearly someone is talented in the kitchen because i enjoyed all of my meal but the wait staff is weak point. they were forgetful, slow, and almost inconsiderate. we tried to flag someone down to order after waiting for 15 minutes. we caught the eye sight of one and all she did was look around her and shrugged!! unbelieveable. we also ended up asking for a jug of water because we asked for our water to be refiled 3 times before someone did it. i will never go back even though i found the food to be very tasty. i had the mussel appetizer (great garlicky tomato broth) and the salmon (nicely charred with good flavour).

the bar tender at the four pints sheraton recommend this spot. i was very impressed with the service, the bar tender was very friendly and knowledgeable, i went with her suggestions the seafood spaghetti, it was excellent. if the rest of the food on the menu tastes the same, then you can’t go wrong.

food:
i had come here on a thursday afternoon at around 12:45 pm for a quick lunch. i had settled on 'the club' ($16.00), which included two large pieces of chicken schnitzel in a sandwich, with pieces of bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and dressing. for my side, i had chosen the fries as those were the ones i was most craving at the time. in terms of the sandwich, i was very impressed with how delicious it tasted; it was large, with an ample amount of ingredients, and the chicken pieces were hot (temperature-wise), which is just the way i like them!

in terms of the fries, they were also delicious however, a bit too small, with most of them being only small pieces that were hard to eat. i loved how i was given a water bottle on the table for pouring my water into my glass whenever i wanted to, it was a great feature! overall, the food was excellent however, i did find that the price was a bit high for what i had ordered, although it did fill me up quite a bit!

atmosphere:
this restaurant was situated in streetsville in a small plaza on the opposite side of the main shopping plaza. i found that the restaurant itself was very nicely decorated, with antique wine bottles on racks throughout the restaurant, along with beautiful pictures on the walls. also, the restaurant was very clean, with sleek white tablecloths and napkins on all of the tables. i found that this restaurant was more of a fancy kind of dining option as opposed to a casual outing.

service:
i was served by a kind younger woman, whom gave me ample time to decide what i had wanted, and was kind and courteous as i decided what i had liked. she also came over to me as i was dining to ask how things were which i thought was a nice touch. i also have to give credit to the server who brought over my food, and the hostess who seated me; all of them were friendly and caring, showing that they truly loved what they were doing. hats off to great service!

would you return?
most certainly! i would most likely come back here for a special occassion as i found that this restaurant was catered more to fine dining, which would be a lovely reason to go out!

a nice little place to have a lunch. the service was friendly and the food was very good. the fries with the fish tacos were perfect. the asian flavoured shrimp was really nice. the pictures speak for themselves!

had the pizza margherita and schnitzel. both were delicious and the service was fantastic. definitely will go back

my boyfriend and i decided to try something new around his place. going through the reviews it seemed like a good idea to try saucy... despite the warnings of bad service.
the place was packed and we settled for sitting at the bar which was fine since it was cold out and we looked homeless. we shared the escargots and had the seafood spaghettini and ravioli for mains. first off, the escargots were amazing but the mushrooms paired with them were even better. i don't know how they did it but they made those snails like little mollusk gods. my spaghettini was quite good and i inhaled the whole thing. my boyfriend gave out on the ravioli by being too full but he loved it. all in all, we will definetly be back and with reservations!

fell in love with saucy. me and my wife were recommended this restaurant from family and freinds. we celebrated our 10 year anniversary lunch here and fell in love. for appetizers we had the wild mushroom on a baguet i believ it was and a roast beef sandwich to go along with our customized pizza. i could have oredered more of that wild mushroom appetizer and everything that came out of that kitchen was to die for. me and my family eat out every week at different restaurants and this will be one that stands out for us and a new favourite.

yummy. awesome place...when we first walked in i wasn't sure but the food was amazing and the service was fair

we go here on a lot of special occasions in the past. normally great food. unfortunately, not impressed with valentines day. booked v-day dinner over the phone. told that someone would call back. no one called so i recalled and spoke to someone who confirmed reservation. we have our favorite dishes that we look forward to ordering here every few months when we visit. to our dismay and displeasure, we were presented with a $120 per couple flat rate prixe fix menu for v-day and not told over the phone when we made reservations. we asked people sitting around us and they were also not told about this menu change. poor way to do business. its v-day and we had no choice but to order here because everywhere else was booked. the worst part was that the food offered wasn't even close to how good the normal menu items are. treat your loyal customers with more respect next time or you will lose them for good. thumbs down this time around... shouldn't have cancelled my reservation at astoria and chosen saucy!

sooo good!. i've been going to saucy for years and once again they've outdone themselves with their look new and new late night lounge menu!! thank you for never disappointing me!!

awful place. terrible food awful service! waiter was rude,not helpful didn't know anything. had a terrible experience. i will never go back and never recommend the place.

mmmmmm...... i love this little place in streetsville, i have been here a couple of times mostly lunch and have thoroughly enjoyed my food everytime. the staff are very delightful and polite, and the setup where you can see the chefs if awesome! i love watching chefs at work.....the price is excellent for lunch however the dinner menu is a bit pricey.
i had taken a date here once, and was first seated in the middle of the restaurant cause it was packed, not much privacy. but then another table freed up, and without even asking she asked us if we would like a little more privacy at better table! now that is service!

great little place. went last saturday on the advice of a friend who's been going all summer. had a great meal overall (steak could have been finer for $34...), with nice wine rationally priced. place has a little pub built in, wouldn't mind trying that some time. you forget that it is in a strip plaza, until you leave - "oh yeah". seeya next time.

love this place, great food nice atmosphere, great wait staff and fresh hot food.
