had an excellent burger here and a couple of fantastic beers. i'd recommend them, but it appears that they change the beers out regularly. don't miss the tater tots...

a great little nook. after a quick interrogation of the local restaurants we decided on the beer and burger joint samuel hornes, what a cool name to have.
after securing the arguably best seats in the house near the front door, we soaked up the old school vibe, from the music too the porcelain signage adorning the walls. as we were from the land down under we didn't know what beers were good from the tap and we were given a few faves to try, which we settled on a dark brew that even my non beer drinking wife loved.
now it's burger time. the cootie burger had a perfectly cooked protein with just the right amount of seasoning, and a super soft bun. the shoestring fries weren't the best trg world has to offer, but still held of my hunger. all in all a great venue to chill, enjoy a cold bevy and chew on a burger, and all for a great price.
food 7.5/10 service 8/10 decor 9/10

samuel horne’s is definitely a “better beer” bar, but it is perfectly suitable for a nice family lunch on the cheap. highly recommended!

very cool place! i love hanging out here. it's small but feels cozy and local. beer is awesome and the rotating taps are great. each time in the staff has been super friendly and attentive.
music is sometimes super loud so bank on yellin'. the beef burgers are good. turkey burger is a hockey puck not sure if made or frozen. philly cheese steak was very spicy but alright. recommended.

so for day 16 i will be profiling 4 beers instead of just one. hey it's a tough job but somebody has got to do it. fritz and ken's ale fritz maytag, owner of san francisco's anchor brewing company agreed to guest brew this special ale with sierra nevada in honor of their 30th anniversary. this is a rich and robust stout worthy of aging but also great for drinking right now. charlie, fred and ken's imperial helles charlie pazazian and fred echa

would have to say what makes it was the bourbon-espresso redeye sauce - a sweet bbq sauce but with a special kick from the espresso.

best bar in folsom. love the beer selection and this month my fav menu item is the spinach salad! it's yummier than my other fav which is their blue cheese and bacon fries but it feels so much healthier to eat it! :) u can't beat that! great bar!

i have been to samuel horns only five or six times,every time its been good; good service, good food,and oh can't forget the good brew. i especially remember one time during folsom live, i was very hungry and couldn't find any place to eat that didn't have an hour wait, until i found samuel horns! i road my power wheelchair through the crowd, ( i may have ran over a few people don't know just heard screaming) to the front counter. how long is the wait?, i asked.the server said not long, i ordered, was served very quickly, ate my tacos and left now i was able to enjoy folsom live with a full belly.

good beer crappy service. i can't stand the pretentiously unfriendly bartenders (specially the girl) here but i still come back for the beer. why don't bartenders understand if their friendly they'll get a better tip, they give you nasty looks, then you don't tip then there looks get even nastier.
owner please hire a friendly staff so i can be comfortable with becoming a regular. otherwise i'll go where elsewhere.

great draft selection and reasonable prices for old town folsom.

cant go wrong with this beer place. this place is great! not intimidating and i can have my kids and still have a beer with my wife.
had the turkey sandwich, really delicious. the spinach salad, awesome.
there's plenty of beer to choose from. you be spoilt for choice.

great beers, great food, great place to hang.... they have an ever changing beer selection on draft. proper glassware, friendly staff. lots of bottled beers, some rare too. full bar.

the food is great too. even though i hate frozen fries, these are the best. the blue cheese with bacon fries are incredible. the daily special is always a great deal and the chef gets to play a bit..
