salvatore's pizzeria and italian ristorante

best italian. superb italian restaurant, i cannot recommend it more highly. the entrees are traditional with gabrielle's own mark. the pizza is new york style with an authentic italian flair. the staff is very warm and attentive. the chef greats everyone, and is honestly interested in how you are enjoying your meal. i cannot recommend salvatore's more highly. also, excellent travel advice from gabrielle if you happen to be going to italy!

loves it!!. my husband and i tried salvatores for the first time around march 2011. we didn't even plan to eat there but had to wait while having our taxes done and decided to walk around the plaza. all i could smell outside was the amazing food, so we went inside and each got a slice to go.

after eating our slices of pizza we decided it was pretty good and after done filing taxes we would go back to get a stuffed pizza to take home to the kids. while waiting for our order the owner came out and introduced himself and gave us drink and a order of garlic knots on the house! we will continue to order from them in the future!

i actually just placed an order for dinner tonight and the only downside is i just found that they no longer deliver but even still i will venture out to pick it up just for the fact that it's the best i have yet to find in this town!

not great. if you define italian by new york or other northeast cities, maybe you'll like salvatore's; but if you crave genuine italian with subtle flavors, moderate portions, and fresh ingredients, this isn't it. the eggplant rollatini appetizer was so large that it was enough for 2 entrees. the mussels were large and flavorful, but spoiled by an excess of salt. salvatore's is typical american italian with zero atmosphere. heavy, heavy sauces. the previously attentive wait staff didn't show up tonight.

the best pizza locally. judging by the negative comments of some of the reviews, i'm inclined to believe that those people have not actually had pizza in new york. it has the soft, chewy and flavorful crust with plenty of cheese and a range of toppings that aren't available at other pizzerias. i think people are so used to subpar commercial tasting pizzas that haven't learned to appreciate true quality. try the bianca pizza with artichokes, spinach and fresh tomatoes and you're in for a culinary delight. pizza is not the only stellar food that salvatore's offers. make sure you sample other menu items as well.

the staff is very friendly and accommodating. they are conscious of empty plates, refilling drinks, and providing extra napkins. the owner walks through and makes small talk and checks to make sure that everything is up to par and the customer is satisfied. when my family from new york comes to visit, this will be one of the places we dine. i recommend it.

golden spoon salvatore's. i love salvatores! i live in north carolina and i drive all the way to virginia beach at least twice a week to eat there. and let me just say that they have the best food i've ever eaten!!! if you're in the mood for some really delicious seafood, they have some really amazing salmon..the dine in setup is so peaceful, and everyones always so happy. gabe the owner really has it out for his customers always feeling us with the best homemade desserts, mmmmmm(: everything is just so appetizing! and if anyone says otherwise its because they either work or are associated with other restaurants and salvatore's is just taking all of their cutomers and business!

great pizza and big wings too. i ordered two pizzas, wings, garlic knots and two canolis. the pizza was delicious. my sons loved everything. my wife said the canolis had the best flavor from others she had tried. garlic knots were the first ever tried and the dipping sauce was delicious. the employees were friendly and salvatore, you have another client for a great food. i don't mind driving from nc to your place.

love love love!!!. this place is amazing! i have never had a bad dish here! the employees are extremely friendly,helpful, and creative! i wish i would have found this sooner s we're moving out of state soon! but to all....come try it once..it will become a place you'll visit often! thanks salvatore's!!

the real deal. where do i start.. rasheed you are the greatest pie maker on the damn eastcoast keep up the good work :) because of you i don't have to drive all the way to nyc just to get my pie's anymore. now the review pizza 10/10 perfect cheese and sauce balance complimented by the perfect newyork style crust :)
garlic knots... i just would like to say primo's pizza, you guys are in trouble you had the title of the best garlic knots in virginia beach but not anymore salvatore's took that title hands down the greatest garlic knot i have ever had in my 30 years of existence on the planet.

the best thing to n.j. pizza. salvatoes pizza is delisious!! i have a big family and always get there 24 inch. i have never been dissapointed and to top it off there prices are beyond great. they deliver and its not just the pizza that is good. i give it five stars for a mom with a busy day its wonderful and always within the budget!! you guys rock.

just okay.... the calamari is super good but the pizza not so much....

wanted to try but would not deliver 5 miles. wanted to try so bad has great reviews. i called to see if they had a web site to look at the menu but they don't but i found one where someone down loaded it. i was all ready to order and i called and they said they would not and i mapped it i am 5 miles and 10 minutes, disapointed now and frustrated.
