my bestie and i are mexican food fanatics so we decided to try saint anejo when visiting the gulch on our girls’ trip. we put our names down and they took our number to text when our table was ready and although it was busy, we got seated within 10 minutes. it took a while for the waitress to greet us but she was very sweet and very attentive.

the complimentary chips and salsa were really delicious and we loved that there were a few hot sauce options on the table. our queso was good but was a bit runny than we have had in the past. my friend had the avocado tacos and loved them, and i had the beef and 2 caribbean jerk prawn tacos and i wasn’t wowed. the beef was okay and the prawns had a sweet sauce and i was expecting more of a spiced kick. the mexican corn was tasty especially when we added it to the queso.

our waters were constantly refilled and our server even gave us extra chips and salsa with our leftovers that we packed up!

i would definitely return to try the other dishes and the chips and salsa are seriously addictive! aside from my okay tacos everything else (service, food and ambiance) was great!

when alcohol trumps all!. nothing is more disappointing than planning a special night out for a birthday celebration and finding that you are not welcome! not a restaurant to take family, which would eliminate tourists, celebration of special occasions, and people interested in 'upscale mexican cuisine'. we actually enjoyed the food, after the rude reception of bringing a child. they would be better off to call it a bar and grill, that way no one comes expecting to enjoy time with family and friends. will never eat there again!

where do you go for mexican food in nashville? that’s a complicated question, because it has to be qualified. if you’re looking for good mexican food, leaning tex mex style, a casual, cool vibe, late night hours, sports bar, fab patio, a tequila menu of over 120 labels of all 100% blue agave, then saint añejo is the place for you. m street’s premier mexican restaurant, saint anejo, is located in the trendy gulch area right next store to the recently opened moto cucina entoeca, it’s italian sister. specializing in premium tequilas, tex mex food, including sharing plates, the large patio area will welcome small, large and late night parties. last week saint añejo invited a small media group to an exclusive event starting in the tequila library, for a tequila lesson and tasting, followed by dinner in dining room. all the tequilas served at saint añejo are 100% blue agave, consciously sourced. this lounge area is part of the tequila library and is available for private parties. the tequila

i'm from the home of tex-mex, and this was as good as anything we have. lobster tacos are must-have, the house margarita with casamigos tequila was very good, but the guacamole with mango salsa will bring me back.

this past week i was invited by the lovely folks at m. street to try out another one of their restaurants, saint anejo . i really enjoyed moto (i've been back and it's still just as amazing) and virago , so i was excited to see what else these gulch restauranteurs can do. the decor at saint anjeo is clean cantina style, with incredibly high ceilings and windows that fully open to let in the summer night air. i'm personally a fan of the small string lights that crisscross the dining room; the lights and the high ceilings make you feel that you're outside in the open air, instead of in a building in one of the busiest parts of the city. lofted above the restaurant is the tequila library, a fancy and plush bar that specializes in tequila. in the corner of the room is a skull-laden couch area for you to kick back and enjoy your drinks. we were brought up here first to do a tequila tasting, something i was trepidatious about given that i've never enjoyed tequila "shots" and i haven't had on

i love a restaurant with a knowledgeable wait staff. the young man who served us was amazing. he recommended some of his favorite menu items- describing what he loved about them. we took his advice- ordered a quesadilla with cheese on the outside of the shell-wow- so good. but the highlight was the korean bbq taco. i can't even describe all of the incredible tastes in that taco! if i am ever back in nashville- this will be a return stop, and i hope our server has great luck starting his new business

i was really looking forward to going to this place this past summer because i'd heard it was really good. so i finally got the chance to go and i was was really impressed with the atmosphere and all the food was presented very well, but it just tasted kind of average. the atmosphere is great. the service is good, but the food is just decent.

the place to go on a wednesday night.  2 for 1 margaritas and double pours for shots.  i love their rosemary margarita its an original drink with a great twist on an old favorite.  they also carry casamigos tequila which is a huge plus in my book!

i was exploding with the opportunity to critique this restaurant after dining there on new year's day. to put it quite simple--this restaurant is serving plum-ass slop. the food was terrible and out of place. the hot chicken tacos with the asian inspired sauce drizzled on top made me realize how far from mexico i really was. mac-n-cheese tasted like a frozen stouffers dish...when did pasta become a mexican dish btw? queso was mediocre but i managed to eat it. the worse part was the overly smoked chicken the chef used in every dish: smoked chick tacos, smoked chick enchiladas, smoked chicken quesadillas. damn chef, we get it...you didn't want to throw away the smoked chicken from your uncles nye bbq. y'all this place is terrible like most restaurants in the gulch. on a lighter note, the sangria and mimosas were pretty good.

great atmosphere and very good service, especially considering how busy they were. happy hour had a half price menu and 2 for 1 drinks. food was very good as were the drinks. complimentary valet parking was a plus. only downside was it was hot if you were sitting inside. in spite of that, highly recommended.

awesome service, manger came over to our table and greeted us with a warm welcome. beautiful on the inside, warm vibes and great guacamole. a bit pricey, although very tasty and risky menu items. the salt-lime fries have a very interesting taste, great flavors just not really for me. i could see someone else loving this restaurant though.

came here with a friend when they were not busy. our waitress was so nice and accommodated the menu for us. the salsa was great and their churros were the very best.
