sahara restaurant & hookah lounge

superb. i and english and visit relatives in lovettsville, and we never fail to visit the sahara several times during my visits. food is always fabulous, and service attentive without being in your face. we love it, and bring friends to intrduce them. thank you!!!

tasty!. so, i have this overwhelming craving for fatoosh (i'm pregnant) at lunch today. i google the nearest place that might have it and end up at sahara lebanese cafe. yeah-i'll be back! the fatoosh was very yummy, and the little stuffed eggplant i got (it was displayed at the counter and i was curious) was soo good! i also got the tabbouleh, which the owner's wife recommended after i told her about my veggie cravings. (by the way-i can't see her getting upset at kids playing, it was pretty bvious that she's kid carzy within 5 minutes of our conversation-again, i'm pregnant so conversations tend to go there). the tabbouleh was -i swear on my unborn child-the best tabbouleh i've ever had. and i've lived in kuwait and egypt and traveled to several other me countries and am very familiar with tabbouleh. i very much recommend this restaurant.

i would not step foot in it again. i went their with my husband and kids. the owner's wife yelled at my kids for playing. and above all the food was cold and service is very slow.

what a treat!. the first thing we noticed was how fresh all the food was! then the taste! we went back two nights in a row and then back again a week later (and this was an hour drive for us) and it was worth it. we also shopped in the grocery part which had very good prices on olive oil and my mother has developed a love affair with the cheeses.

we have had almost all the mazza, taboulah and fattoush, and we are busy making our way through the sandwiches and entrees. the portions are generous enough to satisfy teenagers and a couple of mazza make a good meal too. the desserts are (heavy delighted sigh) worth every calorie.

we will definately be back!
