tahini shepherd salad is awesome!. cukes, tomatoes, red onions and parsley in a tahini dressing- delicious! i stumbled upon this lovely place while visiting my sister in new brunswick. the waitress was top notch (and had only been there a few weeks) and this salad was to die for. my only regret is i don't live close enough to make this a regular stop. byob

wow! we always have an amazing meal here! starting with the spicy red lentil soup which is amazing - we always order the hummus and the meat platter for four! makes great left overs! hee hee enjoy! roy & ren

terrible waiter. the food was okay, but the waiter was really terrible. he asked us to leave right away after we finished the meal, even there were so many empty seats.we couldn't enjoy spending time in the restaurant after the meal, and he even asked us to pay a 20% tip.

last night my husband and i went to this restaurant for the first time being we just moved to area from ca. and hoping to enjoy great mediterranean food ,we eat out a lot due to we both are busy and me being a business owner myself this was the "worst  service ever"!!!!!!! angie didn't bring out any bread to our table as we noticed that every other table were given bread,i requested to have soup "to go" she never brought it out,she didn't take the order correctly and when time to pay she came over with the check and just didn't return . my whole thing is that the place had only 4-6 people when we arrived so what was her issue. we felt bad but no tip was left. this is sad because we really thought it was a good restaurant .

be careful about bill charged. i am giving this 1 star because, they charged more than i signed the check for. so basically after i paid bill with generous tip they decided to increase the tip whatever they felt right. its unethical and cheating. so beware about your bill and check your credit bill.

sahara, new brunswick, nj. we are new to the area and feel like we have found our new favorite restaurant. sahara has quality food, great prices and friendly servers. the hummus is awesome but the star of the meal was the lamb shanks, perfect! makes the best leftovers...servings are very generous.

great food.. the food was delicious, the service was excellent.

it was very fresh, well seasoned, and good portions. nothing to complain about. i will definitely be going back.

authentic and delicious. after you have sahara's hummus you will never want the supermarket version again. i particularly like the fish and lamb dishes. veggie friends seem very happy with the vegetarian combination. i have used sahara to cater a party for middle eastern and indian friends and got rave reviews from them. oh, don't forget to save some room for turkish coffee and any of the delicious desserts.

this is one of our favorite ethnic byob restaurants. it is also reasonably priced for the generous amount of food that you are served.
