not what i was looking forward to.... from reading all the reviews posted on here, this was going to be the "culinary highlight" of my recent trip to lancaster in order to participate in a pinball tournament. having eaten pad thai in numerous cities across this great nation of ours, i was looking forward to comparing se la thai's with the others. how did it turn out? i have a very hard time picking my favorite pad thai that i have ever eaten, but at least (for right now) i can tell you where the worst came from! their spice level goes from a "one" to a "four". i ordered "four". given their scale, gerber baby food would be a "four". the spring rolls? average at best. everything was bland. for the follow up to this, read my review of asian garden in white oak, pa...

good food with a comfortable atmosphere. my only complaint was that i wish the soft shell crab had been a little crispier. other than that, everything was on par. the family who runs the restaurant is very friendly and the service is great.

to find good service sometimes can be tricky but this location was 5/5. very friendlyand quick. food was very pleasing to the eye and palit. would recommend and encourage you to visit this location.

i did take out and by the time i got home it was still so hot! i loved it!! i got the coconut soup and chicken drunken noodles. absolutely worth the money! now that i know i'll go during specials so that the food is worth the money. the food was delicious i just wish the price was a little better

excellent. i have been travelling to lancaster for the last nine months. once i found sa la thai i have returned every week, sometimes twice in a week. everything i have had has been very good. lindsey has provided warm and competent service. my favorite is seafood lovers and the tulip appetizer, but you cannot go wrong.

not worth the cost. this place is a total rip off. the taro boba is not worth the cost: $4. seriously, i can make it with my eyes closed. it's basically taro powder, water, and ready-made boba. and the lunch "special" appetizers are ridiculous! they gave two dumplings and they are the tiniest dumplings i've ever seen. a squirrel would even laugh at the portion size. and i've been to better thai restaurants that are definitely worth the cost. the taste of the food is average. wished i never spent money on this place.

try this place. as good as sa la thai is i can't believe i haven't been here before. as many have mentioned, the drunken noodle dish is fantastic. the thai iced tea is a real surprise and very good. if you want a real vegetarian meal try the eggplant salad its out of this world good.

delicious thai food. the best thai food i have ever eaten! because i am vegan, i always order the pad thai with no egg and there is no leaving without an order of their homemade coconut icecream with fried banannas! the lighting is a little darker, the atmosphere is very peaceful, and the staff is super nice. overall, a great restaurant that my family and i frequently visit.

delicious noodle dish. i ordered mine with less spice and the chef was very accommodating. definitely a full plate. the squid was a pleasant surprise.

this is an updated review since my original review. the staff have gone the extra mile and drastically improved their serving coordination. the food continues to well prepared and well worth the price. i recently had a combo lunch deal. the portions were perfect and the price was very fair. i also commend the staff for allowing me to get a non-lunch dish prepared as if it were the lunch deal. thank you!!

not that good. after reading all these raving reviews here we were very exited to have a great lunch at this place.
to our surprise it wasn't the case.
the ambiance was nice, the service was nice, but we were very disappointed in taste of everything we had (though we love thai cuisine very much). everything we ordered ( starting with soups and finishing with entrees ) was tasteless and watery and looked nothing like the pictures on their menu. the only thing we enjoyed was sticky rice and mango dessert. the price was over $30 for two which is not a good value for lunch ether.
sorry sa la thai, but it was our first and the last visit.

amazinggg !!!!. finest thai cuisine dining experience. the decor is very nice and cozy. service was good too. we were a group of 10 people and everybody ordered different dishes. all the dishes turned out delicious. a definite must go even for people who are not great fans of thai cuisine

loved it. our second visit here, and i sure am hooked. i had the crab dumplings and drunken noodles (with veggie and tofu). i requested "thai spicy" and it was exactly as i like it. and i am a big fan of byob as well. i brought a champagne, and the staff brought me an ice bucket and nice champagne flutes--at no charge. the wait staff were prompt and courteous too.

unbelievable meal. i ordered lemon grass soup with shrimp....so so good, i had seafood drunken noodle and my girl friend got tamarind duck....omg !! it was so delicious, just perfect meal... last thing with coconut ice cream..... we love it so much... our meal finished with $50 with big tip for our nice sever...
