where has this pizza been all my life? it was the perfect combination between crispy (sogspot.com/2010/05/pizza-pizza.htmluper duper crispy) thin crust, chewy outer dough and flavorful ingredients.

this is one of philly's highly-regarded pizza makers, and along with slice and nomad, was one of the favorites entering the contest. another thin and crisp crust, but the bottom showed little character. i loved the roasted italian long hot pepper that rode on top. this was good pie, and it might be great when it's fresh.

no way jose'!. another overrated and overpriced pizza joint!! if you want some real tasty pizza, but well worth the extra money try taconelli's in port richmond!! also, if you are closer to northeast philadelphia, vince's pizza at grant and busleton avenues is one of the best pizza places in the city. this pizza was just too salty, the crust was chewy, and the prices high!!

very small, so we used to get takeaway or delivery from here on a regular basis.  good pizza.  i particularly enjoyed the red pie, with mozzarella, pepperoni and ricotta (special order).  always plenty of toppings. i'm hungry just thinking about it.

rustica is a small (maybe a half-dozen tables) pizzeria in the gentrifying/hipsterfyingâ northern liberties section of philadelphia. it enjoys a solid reputation among local foodies, but has largely escaped the national attention garnered byâ pizza brain,â pizzeria vetri, or the legendary tacconelli's. we set out on a warm sunday summer afternoon to find out if rustica belongs in the same league.

this white pizza was topped with juicy truffled steak and caramelized onions. i enjoyed the flavors and felt like i was getting everything that i love wrapped up in one dish: pizza and steak. there

dont get the pizza after midnight, and dont ask for extra cheese. apparently that is too much to ask.

long wait; burnt pizza. they told us 30 minutes, and they were 20 minutes late. we received our pizza, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 mushroom as ordered, but the whole pie was burnt... and there was hardly any cheese on our pizza, especially the mushroom half!

i've had rustica before, and they are mediocre in my opinion, but this particular service was appalling. (although the delivery boy was cute.)

average. went there over 6 months ago and i felt like the pizza was nothing special. they had good toppings to choose from like eggplant, roated peppers, etc... but the dough and the sauce wasnt anything special.

best pizza arround!. i really like this pizza. they offer some very interesting combinations of toppings
all pizzas are made in a nice stone oven, so they have that real authentic pizza-flavor. the greatest thing is, that after eating several slices (and they are huge!) you don't feel heavy. this pizza is so good, that we don't mind to walk there from 19th street!

best pizza on north 2nd st: northern liberties. this old-style pizza venue has an enormous selection of delectable taste-bud satisfying pizzas. there aren't many pizzerias in all of philly that quite compare to this place. perhaps rustica will forever remain in my top 5 philly pizza places.
