true review. service friendly but slower than most bbq places. the place is clean and small. out of burnt ends at 12:30. out of ice tea which is out of a canister and not fresh brewed. the food i got was good but not as impressive as some reviews. maybe if they had burnt ends that so many speak of.

my judgment from my first visit is that this place is pretty good. i had a one meat (pulled pork) dinner and had 2 ribs added to the dinner. the rib meat pulled right off the bones, as clean as can be, but the meat itself was not overcooked, and the leanness of the rib meat was just about right! the pulled pork reminded me of something done at home in the back yard, but in a good kind of way! you can tell roscoe knows what he’s doing when it comes to cooking up a pig! it was done right i thought, as it was tender but not mushy. i could have gone for a smokier flavor to it, but it was still very good pulled pork to say the least. my sides were really good too, and the sauce, i thought, was of good quality.

this restaurant has the best pulled pork sandwich i’ve ever had in kansas city. hands down. the coleslaw is outstanding, the service is great.

i love this place. it's 'hidden ' next to a gas station on k32 in edwardsville. the service is always prompt and they're very polite. the fries are crispy and they don't drown their beef in sauce. it's delicious. the only downside is that they're not open on weekends.

i thought i knew about every bbq place in the kc area. then, a couple of years ago our friends took us to eat at roscoe's. i'd put their pulled pork right up there with joe's kansas city, and i love their sauce. my only minor complaint is that they need to do more with their french fries. but, still, i love eating at roscoe's.

tried it for the first time today and it was ridiculously good bbq. i've grown up here in kc and have tried just about every place in town, and then a few others in vegas, phoenix and san diego too (no comparison to kc, btw). my favorite couple places here in kc, for reference, are ok joe's, jack stack, smokehouse & gates on a good day (they're inconsistent). well, i've only been to roscoe's once and i've only had their brisket and their smoked sausage with jalapeno & cheddar, but their brisket was like stupid amazing. the sausage was good too, as were the onion rings i ordered. i even liked their sauce, it was a great mix of sweet and tangy, just the right thickness too. i wanna try their hot variety next time, as i usually prefer a hotter sauce. anyway, the place is very legit and i will most definitely be back soon to try their ribs, pulled pork and burnt ends.

ordered burnt ends at 3 in the afternoon. was brusquely told they were out of burnt ends until dinner time. so i got the beef. it was served cold, chewy and bland.

tender burnt ends!. saw all the good reviews, so i had to try this place. i'm no bbq expert, but i thought the food was great. i had the burnt end dinner with sides cheesy corn and beans. the burnt ends were so tender i didn't need a knife. my son had a chicken sandwich and fries and i stole a couple of bites...the chicken and fries were both very good. i thought the bbq sauce was just right: not too spicy, not too sweet, just accented everything very well. this restaurant is truly a diamond in the rough...just west of 435, not too far off the beaten path.

this place surprised me. i, like most of us in the kc area have tried every bbq joint around. while many of the kc area restaurants are outstanding, this place stands alone. nothing fancy, just the best. bbq ever. recommendations are burnt ends, ribs and hot bbq sauce

ok this place needs recognition !! put up a facebook page and get the name out there. best burnt ends in the restraunt buiz and the cole slaw is unbelievable. the price out weighs all competition and the quality of the food and tender meat blow oklahoma joes and kc masterpiece completely away. there is not a better place in a 200 mile radius. unless you are one of the competitive bbq snobs who are fixated on what you do at the american royal ( ya know the type) you will see what i am talking about ( i have been fed from the jack danials bbq grand champion ) and i have to say this place in the top 2 of the best i ever had. and trust me, i am very picky about bbq. i live in wellsville ks and i would not walk into smokies for a slice of bread. but i will drive the 45 miles for roscoes.
