best burgers in sd!. by far the best burgers in sd! one bit of advice if you like frys though, order your burger, then order a side of frys when it shows up and you'll get more. otherwise they put your burger in the same basket as your fries and you lose out. rumor has it some dude at 8 half pounders there in one day...that's how good it is! tip well and you'll get noticed a lot faster the next time you come in but all the bartenders are super cool as are the dudes working the kitchen.

if you are here searching for rocky’s then you already know this is the best burger in town. slap your mother good! i don’t eat it often as i am sure it can’t be the best thing for you, but wow it’s amazing. be prepared to wait long for a table and bring cash as they don’t take credit card.

one of the best burgers you can get in san diego. the flavours are just perfectly balanced. the wait times are pretty high. but the long wait is worth it when you take the first bite!
all in all its a great place to chill out with your friends, grab a beer and munch on some great burgers.

rocky's is a tiny hole in the wall beer and burger joint in pacific beach. what it lacks in size, it makes up in reputation and quality of food. the burgers there are heavenly. they don't serve anything fancy. just 1/3lb and 1/2lb cheeseburgers and hamburgers topped with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles. but the patty is seasoned and cooked to perfection. easily one of the best burgers i've had ever!the variety of beers on offer is impressive. don't be surprised if you find this place perennially crowded. it is that damn good!

the only drawback is that they don't accept cards. however, there's an atm right next door so it's convenient.

rocky's crown pub is located in the pacific beach community of crown point, one of the most beautiful communities in san diego. the restaurant itself sits on the corner of ingraham & la playa ave. and has been a staple in san diego for years.

now rocky's, like in-n-out, does it right! they offer a short, simple menu with a product they have mastered. the menu consists of french fries and two sizes of burgers: half pound or third pound burgers served with or without cheese. that's it. rocky's takes pride in building you a fresh and juicy burger, every time! nothing fancy, just delicious. the burgers are shaped, weighed and made fresh daily, then flat-grilled on a sesame-seed bun. mayo, tomato, red leaf lettuce, red onion and pickles are served on the side.

my recommendation is to order a third-pounder with fries or, for a grown man, a half-pounder without. wash it down with one of their large selection of craftbeers, such as my favorites, blue moon and racer 5. you'll feel like you're on vacation. and maybe you are!

many, including myself, consider rocky's hamburgers to be the best in town. being from texas originally, i love bbq and burgers, and i don't believe you'll find a better burger in san diego! now, before you start getting too upset, there are other burgers equally as good, in different ways. let's just say you should try rocky's burgers out for yourself and you'll see what i mean.

i’ve been wanting to take jake here for a long ass time and a few weeks ago i was finally able to take him! we tried to go a few times this week, mistakenly making the attempt on the weekend or during prime sports game viewing periods. these are not the ideal times to go since rocky’s is not a big place. we ended up going one wednesday evening after jake’s first league softball game (his team’s name? ball busters. this makes me laugh on a weekly basis.) wednesday night was perfect. we parked right in front and got a cozy corner seat in the back of the bar. see? it ain’t big. we’re in the very back, and it’s really not much wider than this (it goes a little bit over more on the right, but not much).  this is the menu at rocky’s. this is the whole menu. it’s all they do, besides beer, kind of like in-n-out. if they served beers and put on sports games. the only difference between jake and i’s meal wa

good burger. i wouldn't go as far as to say this is one of san diego's best burgers as many have done, but it is a quality burger in a pub with really great atmosphere.
the bartender was very nice and the place has a cool feel to it. definitely would recommend checking this place out. i got the lunch special which was a 1/3 cheeseburger with fries and a beer for $10.25.

very cheap, only menu item is burgers and fries. burgers a little too greasy for my preferance. beers and wines. cash only!

good alternative to hodad's - as ocean beach reminded me of the last dead show i attended back in '92. unless of course you want to meet jerry reincarnated! lol

hard to get a table but worth the wait for a no frills burger. hold the soggy fries though.

best ever? no. but a great homestyle burger in an inviting beach neighborhood bar. thick raw onion and tomato. fresh lettuce. sesame seed bun gets soggy early but still delicious. fries are decent but fresh cut home made would put this place over the top.
