went here for mother's day yesterday, 05/10. they of course took the opportunity to raise their prices to $40.00 for rodizio. as a brazilian myself, i know good rodizio, and unfortunately, this is not where' you'd get it. i don't mind paying more, but with higher prices, better service and better quality is expected. so, there are a few points of complaint; 1st, the salad bar, it was ok, it wasn't limited, however, some of the choices there were clearly pre-packaged and not fresh. the "farinha" for instance, was definitely pre-packaged, and the beans tasted like they came from a can. 2nd, the rodizio itself, meat was ok, not good, not bad, however, it seems that their preference is either rare or raw even for meat. also, i feel like they need more meat servers and more of the same meat going around. they shouldn't have just one skewer of each meat, but several. if i'm paying to eat meat, then keep the meat coming! also, some of the meat was cold, which should never be the case for rodizio. the pineapple at the end of it all, was also cold, and had way too much cinnamon.

i'm not giving it 1 star because the servers were attentive. however, judging the food alone, i would not come back. again, if you're going to be priced on the high-end, then give me service and food that matches.

i tried fernandes in newark, nj (btw, recommended if you want actually good food), but they were fully booked, for clear reason, and rio had openings, apparently also for clear reasons.

in closing, if your american, unfamiliar with rodizio, and definitely not brazilian, then you might enjoy here for the experience. but anyone who know rodizio and brazilian food would agree, that unfortunately this place does not do rodizio justice.

love this restaurant! it is a bit pricey but it's rodizio! definitely go on an empty stomache!!

richard is amazing manager. my husband and i had such an amazing experience at rio rodizio, the manager greeted us himself at our table and asked us if it was our first time which it was and welcomed us. he was very aware of everything and even new first time customers which was very impressive. the food was delicious! and came around with the meat perfect timing the pineapple at the end was the cherry to the cake! i definitely will be coming back and thinking about having my sons birthday party here the manager took his time out to show me the room down stairs and went over some pricings which is very decent especially with all the food you get! there sangria is our favorite, haven't had a sangria quite like rio rodizio!

horrible!!! food was bad. meat was low quality, salty and not cooked as asked. service was even worse. one serve got rude because i didn't hear him as to which meat he brought out. he said if i had a problem with his accent i should tell him. i didn't have a problem with his accent, i just couldn't hear him. very unprofessional.

rodizio is a good choice for special occasions. having gauchos serving grilled meats on swords is great entertainment to accompany your meal. there are so many selections of meats, and my personal preference is to go with the fattier cuts.

this place is awesome. the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff are really friendly. definitely don't fill up on the salad bar. make sure you get your money's worth in the rodizio. the bartender here won new jerseys mixologist of the year for his passion fruit drink. try it out.

i was taken to this restaurant for my birthday, but i was not impressed. we ordered the ridiqiuo platter which was way too expensive for only serving u slices of different cuts of beef. the beef was either over cooked or not cooked well enough. had a cut of flank steak and it just filled my plate with a pool of blood. the flavors of the beef were all the same. the filet mignon was overcooked. the only thing that can save this place is to mix up the selection of meats not just cuts of beef or use different marinade that will at least help your palate distinguish the cuts of beef. same flavor on different beef cut was not appetizing. sorry i have to give this restaurant a thumbs down

amazing food and slot of it. they have 20 different types of meat and they just keep feeding you the whole time your there to you say stop. they cut it right in front of you and everything is really good. highly recommended

good food. the food is good and the hosts are very friendly but the servers seem to have a poor attitude, have been here twice and each time our server was not to friendly but i think the food somewhat makes up for it,.
