simple and enjoyable menu. food is always great & the staff are fantastic. couldn't ask for more from a local gem like riba. we keep going back. it's nice to go somewhere where the people working seem to enjoy their job and treat their customers so well.

loved everything about this place form start to finish. interior, ambience and staff are all on point before you even touch a bite of food. we had the prawns and bruchetta to begin, lamb and stonebass for mains and the nutella brioche and semi-freddo for dessert. everything was extremely fresh and of superb quality! the brioche in particular was one of the best desserts i've ever tasted in dublin. would highly recommend to all.

i'd seen riba many times driving through stillorgan, it's just up from the cinema. the front is sleek and welcoming and i kept meaning to try it out.

so i did. last friday night myself and a friend went for a late dinner. the staff were lovely, the table wasn't ready immediately so they seated us at the bar. i ordered a freshly pressed apple juice, unfortunately, from my prime seat at the bar i could see it was poured from a standard juice carton. not ideal. but the waiter did seem to have a good knowledge of the wine list so that was great.

our table was in the front section, the place was hopping and the atmosphere was brilliant.

we ordered the nachos, chicken wings and chips to share. the portions were good and big. our little bucket of wings was delicious, the good old spicy-vinegary kind. the chips weren't as crispy as you might like but they were seasoned well. the main event, the nachos, were generous and pretty tasty but not quite as moreish as i expected. nonetheless, we polished the whole lot off without too much trouble. i must admit as well that i think there main courses were probably where they shine, i saw a few served to tables near us and they looked great.

for our dessert we both ordered the creme brulee. we had wanted to order the nutella brioche pudding but they were sold out. but thankfully the creme brulee was pretty much perfect, silky smooth and nicely vanilla-d.

all in all, despite a few minor negatives, we really enjoyed riba. it's good food at reasonable prices and the next time i'm ordering a main course.

a solid local gem.

eventually got here this evening after some rescheduling and was pleasantly delighted by the #ribadatenight menu.

to start, i had a hunky bowl of meaty mussels cooked in a lovely cream, garlic, chilli and white wine sauce. himself had asian inspired beef brisket croquettes that were as gorgeous as they were generous in portion.

the main event included confit leg of duck with hoi sin sauce, cabbage and fondant sweet potato (all of the nom noms), while himself had the seafood skillet that came flanked by two slices of garlicy parmesan bread. delicious.

perhaps the true winner was dessert. he went standard ice cream while i had an almondy honeycomb alfreddo which was a bit like an ice cream cake. whatever the technical term, it was delicious.

will be back for sure!

i wanted to see what this place was all about as i'd heard nothing but good things. apparently their chicken wings are amazing so i got a starter portion and they didn't disappoint. i was sharing these with friend and i have to say i really liked how they gave us two separate little warm water dishes with lemon to rinse our hands with afterwards. as well as this i noted the little side dishes they gave us were patterned and really different from your standard white crockery. nice touch

so onto the sandwiches. i love eating out with people who like me love to share food- allows you to have a bit of everything and to try more delicious foodie treats! so me and my friend decided to order two sandwiches and share both. we got a tuna sandwich which i wasn't expecting much from (it's a tuna sandwich after all) but it pleasantly surprised me. never had tuna with avocado before and i have to say i liked it a lot. the avocado was perfectly ripe and ready to eat and the sandwich was just so tasty. i'm not ashamed to say i practically inhaled my half! we got that with sweet potato fries which were more like wedges. these came with a garlic dip and we're just fab! my friend said they were possibly the nicest sweet potato wedges/fries she ever had.

i'm on a mission to find the nicest steak sandwich in dublin so we ordered a steak sandwich and asked for it to be cooked medium. unfortunately it came out well done and i had to send it back. our server couldn't have been more apologetic or attentive and made us a new steak sandwich medium as requested. it was very tasty but definitely not the best i've had. the produce was all fresh but the cut of steak was a little bit chewy & fatty. we got this with skinny fries that were piping hot and good but i'd definitely choose the sweet potato fries over them!

i have to talk about the excellent customer service at riba. not only did they replace the steak sandwich without issue but when we asked for the bill they almost insisted on a dessert with tea/coffee on the house to make up for the sandwich not being cooked as ordered and the subsequent wait.

we got a nutella bread and butter pudding which was delicious. far too much for one person but perfect sharing size. i'm a big fan of bread and butter pudding although there's a lot of bad ones out there! riba's take on it was really unique and tasty and i'd definitely recommend it.

all in all a very enjoyable dining experience. the chicken wings, tuna sandwich, sweet potato fries, coffee and nutella bread and butter pudding were all winners!

i'll be back

great little spot in stillorgan! went there with a large group of 8 of us on saturday for a three course meal and was very impressed! i ordered the salt and pepper calamari for starter and it was superb- the batter was light but very fragrant with spices in it, probably the nicest calamari iv had and not at all greasy! i ordered the duck for mains which came with red cabbage and fondant potatoe, this was very tasty although i would have had the fish special but it was all gone by our 8 o'clock seating. finally i ordered the nutella brioche bread and putting pudding which was to die for! a lot of our table were very displeased that there were no chocolate brownies left by the time we ordered desert, but my first choice was there so i was happy out! the food quality is great and the service was good too! tried the chicken wings which were lovely also!

i went for dinner here last night. nice little spot, quite small but cosy. it was packed, and there was a great atmosphere about the place. i have to say i was quite impressed with the staff. they were extremely attentive and pleasant which really added to the experience. we had the early bird, 3 courses for €25 - you can't go wrong! the food was delicious and the dessert was the best part. nutella brioche and butter pudding with hazelnut ice cream! so good. overall really enjoyed it, great spot to go before the cinema as well as its just around the corner. will be back for brunch!

one of the best places for a brunch in stillorgan.
good location, decoration and great food.
there are plenty of options for brunch/ lunch, we tried the traditional irish breakfast and the steak sandwich. bread is homemade, would highly recommend the sandwich.

really great brunch menu here. the staff are super nice and it is in a handy location with loads of free parking nearby. the riba huevos rancheros for €13 are delicious. they have spiced sausage and bean stew with five spice pork belly served with the eggs. they also make some of the best french toast i have ever had. unbelievably tasty and melt in the mouth good.

came here for brunch which was absolutely delicious! it was quite busy when we arrived, but the staff were very accommodating and sat us at the bar and had a table ready for us within 5 mins. we ordered coffees before our meal, which were fantastic, and then ordered the fry and a goats cheese and fig salad. the salad was easily the best goats cheese salad i've ever had, a very generous portion of goats cheese, figs, beetroot and a delicious light vinaigrette. the fry was also fab, we asked for no tomato so instead we were given an extra sausage.
for desert we had nutella brioche and butter pudding which was served with ice cream and a custard, the perfect end to a delish brunch
on mondays and tuesday's they have a 'date night' special which is €55 euro for 3 courses per person plus a bottle of wine - i'll definitely be back for it!!

popped in here for brunch at the weekend as we were all keen to try somewhere new. the place itself looks great but really lacks atmosphere. it feels a bit dead. the staff were a bit cold and service was very slow but the food made up for it. i myself had the quinoa salad which was really good. the only thing i could fault was that there was a little bit too much dressing. our table also had the prawn salad - the garlic and chilli prawns are in batter which we weren't expecting - but was lovely all the same. the steak sandwich was also a winner as were the chicken wings. a great little eatery like this was needed in stillorgan. a bit more atmosphere and friendlier staff and this place would be ideal.

nice cafe with a good selection of food. they have a great early bird menu at a decent price of under €20 for two courses and €55 for two people with a bottle of wine. the brunch menu is lovely and the coffee is really great. the place lacks a bit of atmosphere and sitting outside looking over to stillorgan shopping center isn't the most ideal view as it is such a busy area but stillorgan could use more cafe's like riba. staff are lovely and very attentive.

riba opened a while back in stillorgan. it occupies what used to be ‘the magic chef’ chipper… which has been transformed into a cool, new york vibe eatery. i've been many times to riba, sometimes dinner, sometimes brunch and each time its been good. first things first, they have prosecco on tap, at €6 per glass – that alone would bring me back to a place, but it’s helped here in riba by having fantastic food to go with your prosecco. the wine list is good, reasonably concise with options at the various price points including by the glass.

chicken wings are good, plenty of them with lovely flavour and the right amount of sauce, served with the obligatory celery and blue cheese dip. smoked salmon and crab with toasted bread was another delicious dish on one of our visits. the garlic, chilli and lime prawns with a tomato focaccia bread is fab. riba does phenomenal chips... proper chipper style chips, cooked in beef dripping, they are pretty much to die for!

having been recently for brunch i can wholeheartedly recommend the huevos rancheros - beans, potato, eggs, slow braised pork belly, corn on the cob. amazing!
