red koi japanese restaurant

family went there for lunch. we had a few lunch specials and two signature sushi rolls. everything tasted great but we were disappointed in the small serving sizes.

i called the number here asked about the menu that is posted above and they said they don't post anything online. i asked what they have for lunch specials and the new person that the phone was handed to sounded upset that they had to answer questions, so i gave up and went where i know i can get service...

overall the sushi was relatively good, although the rainbow roll was disappointing with too much artificial crab flavour. on the other hand, the money roll and tuna and salmon nigiri were excellent, albeit slightly pricey. for 2 rolls, 4 orders of sushi (2 prices/order) and 2 drinks was $68+tip which is slightly higher than we typically pay.

we would go back, but i'm sure there are other sushi places in the valley that may be better.

i went to red japanese with my girlfriend and her family. when i walked in the place it was smelled like fish. there were fish tanks with cool fish i never seen before, and there were also lots of bamboo sticks everywhere. i and my girlfriend shared two plates. on the first plate was california roles the rice was unusually sticky but, the rest of the food tasted very fresh and was tasty. on the second plate we got california crunch rolls the crunchy stuff they put on it was red which i guess is because of the name of the restaurant, the crunch rolls were a lot sweeter and flavorful. both of the sushi’s we got had crab, cucumber, and white rice.

i really enjoyed the red because i love sushi and the food was delicious. the best part about going red was the service was outstanding. the sushi was not my favorite do to the really sticky rice. beside the fact of the everything else was amazing. i never been here before but i would defiantly go back again. overall the food was great the service was outstanding and i would highly recommend this restaurant to any sushi lovers.

my experience was great. the employees where pretty young but for the most part they looked like they knew what they were doing. it looked like it was a family owned business for the most part. most of the severs when of asian descent. i liked that we got to choose where we sat and also there were free refills on are drinks which was awesome. overall i had a fanatics experiences.

my favorite sushi & vietnamese. i have been going here since they opened back in 2010. love jason and tiffany. they are incredible people who run a very good restaurant. i have always had great food at their place. the sushi is fresh tasting (wow, in the desert) and they are willing to customize the rolls for me based on the ingredients i like. their selections are too numerous to count and all seems to fancy my palate. i just wish i had more time and money to go every week. my favorite dish is the abacore tuna sashimi with slices of jalapeno.

i have been coming here since it first opened. the head chef is a familiar face from my previous favorite sushi joint, an his creations are so beyond any other place on this side of the valley. he always gives me new suggestions and i always love them. they're fresh and creative and not run of the mill ra kinda stuff. always a huge fan. amazing.

disappointing. i went in last night for my first time with my boyfriend and all though the sushi was pretty good.. once we got our food our server didnt come to check up on us once! finally, after about twenty minutes of us sitting there waiting she brought the check! and don't forget that we were the only people in the restaurant the entire time we were there, so we should of had much better service. definitely disappointed. won't be going there again

really impressed, best family restaurant with really good home-made food. the sushi was perfect less rice and lots of filling. fresh fish and great presentation. the kitchen food are also great like the pho, sticky noodles, garlic sake clams, and the garlic beef steak!!!!
my family and i will be coming here often.

great selection of sushi, some with a western/mexican twist. very well presented meals; works of art. we had crazy shrimp roll, sweet sassy shrimp roll and a diamondback roll. the staff was very polite and made sure or tea or pop (it's not soda, it's pop) was always full. supper (for three) with drinks, dessert and tip for under $70.00. we'll be back!

best sushi around! the fish was fresh and the sushi selection is huge!! very innovative rolls! try the stuffed jalapeños!

really good sushi and great happy hour values. great food, reasonable prices, friendly service and a family friendly atmosphere. my kids also love sushi and this has become our favorite spot in mesa.

best sushi in the valley!!! jason the owner is amazing and makes u salivate with the fresh high quality fish presentation portion and atmosphere of red koi. the sushi is by far delicious. for the quality and portion size i'm surpassed it's not more expensive. definitely worth it

fantastic place. my family moved from california 2 years ago and we are avid sushi fans. we tried our luck with several local sushi restaurants and were always dissapointed. we've been weekly goers to red koi for the last 2 years and are never dissapointed. sushi chef jason is great and a very nice guy. highly recommend this place. my favorites: yellowtail sashimi, softshell crab app, rolls: greencrab, triple threat, lollipop, las vegas, crazy shrimp. ask for no cream cheese and don't forget to get a sake bomber. cheers!

really,really, love this place. we go there at least once a week, sometimes twice!! great food and service. the owners jason and tiffany are eager to please, and server amy is exceptional! the food is fresh and made to order, always hot! try them and you won't be disappointed!!! my whole family is crazy about this place!!
