rachael's cafe is my fav!. love this place!!!! awesome homecooked plate lunches as well as super healthy meals for people on strict diets! paleo stuff is awesome!!!!

down home goodness. the food at rachaels reminded me of my grandmothers cooking. everything was seasoned to perfection and i will definately be a regular from now on. do yourself a favor and go to rachaels.

this cafe’ offers some of the best cajun / creole home cooked meals in the area. it is a family run business with freshly prepare dishes daily. the service is friendly, but the wait is lengthy. food is well worth the wait, with affordable prices. i have not had a bad food item here yet. everything is good, but i most enjoy the bisque and gumbos. i eat here several times each month. great eatery.

gem of a place. if you’re concerned about diet, there’s an entire fit meal portion of the menu with numerous proteins and abundant sides to choose from. and excellent choices on the regular menu as well. seating both indoor and out. and the owner, rachael, is always there, very friendly, hard at work running all aspects of this place. this is a winner.

we went for a great lunch. rachael's recently expanded to more double in size . the rachael gumbo was very good - but could have been served hotter.
i had the fried catfish poboy and it was very good. the fish tasted fresh and was nice and crisp.

delicious food and friendly staff! loved it!
the meatloaf covered in grilled onions and mushrooms was fabulous along with roasted beets and brussel sprouts. it was true comfort food!

a few weeks ago my husband and i decided to try out rachael’s cafe. i have never had lunch there, but we thought of this place on this particular friday. my husband and i make it a priority to have a date night or day date at least once a week.  . rachael’s cafe has been around for a long time. a family owned, cajun inspired cafe. rachael’s has daily plate lunch specials as well as a full menu including dishes like gumbo, seafood dishes, sandwiches, salads, etc.

everything was over cooked except the baked potato had the stuffed redfish very disappointed my husbands meal was the same we do take out a lot still paying the same as if we ate there really hate when this happens

had read good reviews about this place, obviously written by owner. food not bad, just way overpriced for what you get, won't be back.

delicious!. their grilled catfish is amazing, undoubtedly the best i have ever eaten in my life. in fact, everything on their menu is great. you must go early, however, if you want to get a table. this place is very small and very popular.

amazing food. had the scallop starter, real scallops perfectly cooked (fried).
wife and i both had the grilled seafood platter.
presentation was poor, but oh my god was the food good. fish was lightly seasoned but tasty. stuffed shrimp was simply amazing. jambalya was unique and delicious, not overly spiced. crab claws had excellent flavor as did the shrimp. the best stuffed crab i've ever eaten, lot of crab meat, light and fluffy. most places cook a heavy and oily stuffing.
went at 5 o'clock, very busy so service was a bit slow but staff was friendly. excellent value at this small (10 table) café, highly recommend.total price of the meal was 47$ (including tip), worth every penny.

what a find :). what a gem. i stopped in for lunch today and had the chikcen friend steak lunch special green beans were fresh, homade bread and potatoes/gravy. the chicken fried steak was perfection. all good fresh home cooking - seasoned just right - what a value for the price. i will be going back soon !

tasty food. my seafood was cooked well and tasted fresh. i had a grilled seafood platter with a sweet potato. the shrimp were a little overcooked, but everything else was done well. i also had a bite of my husband's hamburger steak. it was incredibly flavorful. the chicken sausage gumbo was a bit watery and oily. the roux was dark, but it wasn't a very thick broth. could have tasted richer. i would like to come back and try more to get a feel for the menu.

their stuffed crab was buttery... but not enough to make you feel sick or oily in your mouth.

the service was what you'd expect of a tiny place run by a small staff. i don't like hovering, so it suits me fine.

and it's tasty too. mostly it's good old cajun home cooking. tried the seafood stuff bell peppers but instead of oven baked, it came deep fried with a thin crispy crust. the crab au gratin; good and a sizable portion. the atmosphere is not for haute cuisine types. it can be a little noisy, it's small, but you can sit outside. definitely a good place to experience the fry-a-lator arts. pooyie, dat's tre bon!
