this is the place i started coming back to istanbul for. my friendandi had a strollandhe took me to this place for breakfast. after that i visited it every time i'm in istanbulandi took all of my friends. traditional turkish breakfast is absolutely amazingandalways worth coming back to. service is always prompt, tea is coming to the table whenever you want itandthe atmosphere is wonderful.

nice place for breakfastand/ or lunch, everything is home made including jellies. very nice service, one of my favourites breakfast places in a city center.

walked byandcaught our eye. wonderful atmosphereandgreat service. the signature breakfast is something quite uniqueanddelicious. well worth the price. will be sure to visit there again.

delicious organic village breakfast. this place is a must visit. anyone planning to visit the galata tower should first have breakfast hereandthen head to galata tower as this restaurent is just next to the tower. actually from the restaurent you can have a good view of the galata tower. we ordered the traditional breakfast. what a spread!!! the breakfast comprised of many small dishes, many home-made, organicandno added sugar!! the first round of dishes were different cheeses, olives, different stewed fruits, hazelnut spread, salsas, honey, etc. then came the hot dishes - fried eggs with sausages, two different pancakesandspinach crepe. all of this was 40 tl per person. it wasn't the cheapest, but was definitely worth it!!. highly recommended it!!

visited today for breakfast. had the village breakfast which was a lightandtasty local breakfast, consisting of cheeses, breads, scrambled egg, preserves, honey, more cheese, some fruitandsalted cherries ... all in all a healthy start to the day!

with a frappe, strawberry lemon drinkandorange juice it came to 86tl ... possibly a bit much for what it is but a great way to start your dayandthe room itself was niceandcosy with a good outside space at the front too.

definitely worth a look for breakfast in galata area.

but let me add that i don't like turkish breakfast...andi still like this place! :)

was in istanbul for one day with work, found some pictures on instagramandlooked this place up. was easy to find, just off the major pedestrian street. small, quiet & quaint. the lentil soup was beyond my expectations. they had a great deal on for soup, saladandcatch of the day, but i just wanted a small meal. great price point, seating on the porch has heated lamps. was a good spot for lunchandthe sage tea was a new for me

güzel kahvaltısına rağmen, servisinin kötü olduğu ve insana değer verilmeyen, üstelik işletme sahibi tarafından, gayet kaba bir şekilde kovulabileceğiniz bir mekan. kötü servis mekanın kalabalık olmasından dolayı anlayışla karşılanabilir fakat kabalığın tolere edilebilecek pek bir tarafı yok sanırım. bu arada arkadaşlarım ve ben, bu mekan sayesinde dışarıda yapılan bir kahvaltının mutluluktan önce, insana değer vermek ve işletmeciliği bilmek/sindirmekle bir ilgisinin olduğunu da anlamış olduk.
bunlar güzel deneyimler tabii; bir daha böyle işletmelerin kapısının önünden dahi geçmemek adına! 


terrible serviceanda rude, disrespectful owner that might kick you out during you eat your breakfast. well  i could understand the bad service somehow, imagining the staff is paid ridicilous salaries etc. but there is no way one can tolerate the owners attitude.

i had high hopes for this restaurant as i had heard it recommended by several people. unfortunately, i think this restaurant is geared toward the touristandforeigner crowd. even though the food selection was quite good (village breakfast & meze platter), the portions were incredibly smallandprices exorbitant. good locationandcute cafe but really not worth it. just go to a villageandget your own 'village breakfast.'

indeed it is a private cafe. hidden in one of the small side streets of galata area. we found it at lastandhad the chance to be seated at a table on the pavement on the opposite side of the street. we felt the whole street has been privatized for our culinary experience.
small plates were servedandall were magically yummy. the food was all vegetarianandall homemadeandorganic. we finished with herbal tea served in very hip bohemian chic china.
a sensational experience not to be missed if someone likes this type of adventure.

i ordered the village breakfastandmy my a while village can eat here . they had the most amazing mosaic cakeandgozlemeandthe the rolled pastryandthe halumi was to die for .
the olives , marmalades , the big bowl of fruitsandthe dips we got was simply superb . they truly have the best breakfast in istanbul

so here our visit to turkey has started
a very niceandtraditional place

we took the traditional village breakfast, big variety of turkish food ( 3 kinds of jams, honey ?, olives, butter, scrambled eggs ?, turkish patty, grilled halloumi, pancakes ?, honeyandglotted cream)

in general everything was good, tasty food, friendly staff ? ?.

i have been reccomended for a friend to try this place. the restaurant is very authentiqueandnice but never say something to the owner regarding he's food because you be out of the restaurant as you did not expect. i order this morning a breakfast. first impression was very good but when i try the different jam it was looking like cook fruit in water it was absolutly no tasty. after i mooslty finish what i have front of me wich was aboslutly ok ( cheeseandoliveandsalatandbred) then come 30 min later with pancakeandeggsandsome borek unfortunately with was very grasy for my taste...when the waiter comeandshe i ask me i just explain that i did not like the jamandthe börekandpancake was grasy then the owner comeandask me if i don't like what i was doing here? i should pay my billsandgo somewhere else. he say to me here it is like thatandyou are not welcome. i realized that other peole face the same experience then me on zomatto. shame on you for your rude attitude....
as i can see i am not the first one to say that

nice little cafe in a quiet lane way near galata tower, decent lunchandattentive staff. seems to cater for localsandtourists, very patient with our noisy children.
