full menu.... i popped into pops for a quick breakfast the other day while waiting for knechts to open. the nice things about pops is that their full menu is available at any hour. taking advantage of this rarity, i ordered a “poor boy” sandwich. this “poor boy”, not to be confused with a po’ boy, is a stack of turkey lunch meat, cheese, tomato, onion, lettuce, and mayo on a french roll. as with every pops sandwich/burger your choice of fries, soup, or salad is available for a side.
the sandwich was filling and had pretty good flavor. my whole breakfast cost about $8 and i walked away full and satisfied. i still suggest that you give em’ a taste.

want great food at any hour?. well pop's has got it! i must admit that i usually go to pops when i'm with a group or nobody else is open. this was the case the other night when i was looking for dinner at 10pm. pops has plenty of seating and as you may have guessed, they are open 24/7. their menu pushes the bounds of your average run-of-the-mill greasy spoon offering everything from steak, fried chicken, and burgers to fresh salads, nachos, and seafood. another bonus is that their entire menu is available all day long. "so rev, what do you recommend" you may be asking. the cajun cobb salad is my favorite menu item that i have tried! cajun chicken, black beans, and cheese on fresh lettuce all lovingly held in an edible bowl (wipes drool from chin) makes this the king of the menu. the fries at pops are a unique treat as well. they are breaded with egg whites (i think) which makes them extra crispy. now for the downside. its a little dirty, i've been given coffee cups with bright red lipstick on them more than once, and the bathrooms are not the best. if you go late at night/into the morning, be prepared for the bar room clean out. overall, it is a good place with ok service and great food. give em' a taste.
