playground

so playground is the new hype in town. it has come up in such a great location and the interiors of the place are just fantastic. when you walk in there is a long tunnel that is lined with empty liquor bottles. what an attraction this place has become to get yourself clicked! 

inside, there are different kinds of sitting available. you can choose a quiet and corner table or a garden type sitting towards the middle. i found the interiors way too pretty. just love the details of the place. 

they are already famous for their unique drinks and the tall glasses with smoke coming out. cocktails and mocktails are both the strong points of playground.
in food i have never been a fan of the food at playground elante but the food at 26 outlet was quite good. we tried few snacks like mushrooms, nachos and paneer tikka. everything was above average though not exceptional.

i would suggest everyone to go for the hummus and pita sampler which is a great dish for those who love hummus. 

then came the main course. now the main course was really good. they have combo indian meals like daal and naan, vegetables and paratha and so on.

i loved the subz masakali and naan, it was such a yummy dish. the dal and naan combo was also super. however the winner was broccoli beans and carrots served in rose sauce and served with rice. what a delicious dish i must say. loved it to bits.

well zomato expects me to be polite and friendly while writing this review. pray my dear sir, how about the restaurant also treating us with some politeness and friendliness?? is that too much to expect?

right at the entrance we were asked to wait because we had a kid with us (7year old), fair enough as they reserve rights to admission. later someone came from inside, and with a sneer looked at us and said “come in but make sure the kid doesn’t run around the place “. well thanks for judging us as parents. inside he passed us on to someone who passed us on to someone who finally offered us high stools to sit on while there were better comfortable seats available.

we requested for a better seat but the request was cut short in the middle with a curt “that’s reserved”. fair point but can be said politely (too much to ask?).

needless to say, we moved on to a better place and had a good rest of the evening.

nice ambience..we ordered chicken 65, bbq mushroom sandwich and pink sauce penne pasta. just the pasta was good,other two dishes were horrible..

loved the ambiance. loved the food. loved the service. a great place for a date as well as to hangout with friends. ordered pizza and a platter, both stood out.

a good place with nice ambience and great music to hangout . food is quite average . ordered salad paired with coolers . drinks are good . the live music is really enjoyable .

if there is one place that guarantees good food with an even better ambience, it playground 26. with their new cafe in sector 26, i already had my expectations pretty high. but, honestly what we felt was more than we had imagined. as we walked past the longest and most magnificent tunnel full of booze bottles, we felt the same rush one feels right before jumping off a cliff while bungee jumping.

at the end of the tunnel, we witnessed a buzzing courtyard cafe that was filled with sunlight hues and some really great music. two of the servers helped us settle in and what began post that was a gourmet journey. we ordered a cocktail called goli slowly which was a unique concoction of tequila, fresh apple & basil along with mango sauce. it was absolutely refreshing and unique in its flavours.

coming to the food, we ordered chicken tikka and chilli chicken pizza. 
-chicken tikka : served over a grill with smoked charcoal underneath, the chicken was marinated with  tangy and zesty indian spices and was cooked to perfection. the light smokiness of the charcoal lend it an aromatic flavour. totally worth it!

this was a total surprise. having tried the same pizza at multiple restaurants in the city, we found their chilli chicken pizza to be absolutely authentic in terms of flavours. it was as if a bowl full of sauce chilli chicken was spread over a wood-fired pizza. the blend of chinese and italian definitely was drool-worthy.

all in all, after a spend of just inr 1500, we felt happy and satiated. playground 26 is an amazing place to relax and enjoy after a hectic week. with the chic charm and absolutely delightful ambience, this cafe is a total hit. don't forget to click lots of pictures for your instagram feed!

yesterday, i gave a call @9988339944 for table booking at your restaurant and asked the guy to book a table for 7 @8pm.

but to my utter surprise, he told me that all the tables are reserved and i can get the table after 9:15pm. i asked him that today is tuesday and how come the all the tables are booked, as the time i am asking is not a peak time. but, again he replied that all the tables are booked.

this is very negative reply got from playground's desk. so i dropped the idea and went somewhere else.

not at all recommended, if they are forcibly putting a sign of reserved on each table.
i will post my concern to other restaurant rating sites too.
