great place. omg! talk about great food! this is the place to go! i havent been for breakfast yet but from what ive experienced from lunch and dinner i cant imagine that it would be anything other than that. my 1st time there was lunch and my cuban panini was amazing as well as the service. then me and my wife and friends came for dinner and and we finally found our spot! she had
the wild salmon special i had the duck special our friends had steak and a half chicken. i cant say anything other than we will be back and you need to try them!

great lunch and looking forward to try dinner here. i stopped in today with family and friends for lunch and was surprised at the great food and decent prices and friendly waitress. i had a shrimp po-boy and enjoyed it and felt it was worth the 7.95 - others had crab cake sandwich and a flounder sandwich - all were happy. i sure am looking forward to go back soon. i'm posting a photo of my shrimp po-boy here.

a real treat in downtown suffolk. a number of other reviewers nailed it. it is a great little place with a very eclectic menu, from souther comfort food, to some very interesting creations. but wait, here was the big surprise. they sell for take out and order the most killer cupcakes! they make "floral arrangements" of cupcakes that look so like a vase of roses it is unreal and then decorated for the season. i will be ordering a couple for hostess gifts during the holidays. did i say killer cupcakes.... oh, yes, bring it on...

plaid turnip. this place is great. the food is wonderful, and grace ann, our favorite server, is also wonderful. never had a bad meal there. highly reccommend you visit and try it out.

bittersweet. me and my girlfriends had a wonderful evening at the plaid turnip last night. our server christy was great, patient and such a delight. the food was execelent along with the prices. the only problem was after a good time was had by all, a comment was made by an older gentleman with gray hair about a tip that was left. not sure if he was a server or a manager but it was unappreciated.

there's a new kid in town!. we are so excited about the plaid turnip in suffolk. we tried lunch there this weekend. the staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. the food was excellent, the portions were large, the menu was very eclectic. we went back sunday morning for their brunch. same thing...excellent all the way around!! they had live music (not overbearing, loud or distracting) playing in the back of the dining room, which added to the wonderful atmosphere. we will definitely be visiting the plaid turnip on a regular basis. i would highly recommend it to everyone in the area or passing through the area.

plaid turnip. this is a wonderful new restaurant in downtown suffolk! hands down they have the best hamburger i have ever ordered out! breakfast is wonderful as well. they went out of their way to fix a fresh vegetarian sandwich for my step father that was out of this world. i highly recommend this restaurant.

don't listen to steve. i don't know what steve is talking about. i went to the plaid turnip and had the best lunch. the food was great and plentiful. the service was great. i would and have advised all of my friends to go and try the plaid turnip. the atmosphere is great and the place is beautiful. try it and you will return because i know i will.

slow serivce. a very disappoinitng experience. the service was slow. almost 10 minutes before a waitress arrived at the table to get drink orders. we were given lunch menus instead of dinner menus. chairs for tables are small, wobbly, & uncomfortable. the amount of time between drinks to appetizer to main course was unreasonably long. we spent close to 2 hours in the restaurant. the main course did not arrive at the same time. the food was good & reasonably priced but not good enough to warrant a return visit.
