piero's italian cuisine

amazing deliciousness!. my husband and i went to vegas to get married and have our honeymoon. i did lots of research beforehand on where to eat, what to do, etc. i had piero's on "the list" for a great italian dinner. we were not disappointed! in fact, this may have been the best meal i've ever had. we started out with the stone crab for an appetizer. it was, by far, the best crab i've ever had. i'm from the east coast and have had lots of crab in my life and this was the best! go figure. absolutely delicious. still dreaming about those. i had the osso buco and my husband had the saltimbocca. i read that piero's is known for the osso buco and the reviews were spot on. i was absolutely blown away with the tenderness and flavor of the veal. the creamed corn they brought wtih the dinner was excellent as well. my husband's dish was just as fantastic too. i will be dreaming of piero's until the next time i can get to vegas. this place is a must go!

i have to add - on our wedding night we ate at prime in the bellagio based on the rave reviews and it wasn't half as good as piero's - yet double the price!

20 thumbs down. went there with a party of 10, and they could not figure out how to split our bill 5 ways. sat there for 30min while they screwed around with a calculator. they finally gave up and asked us to put it on one card.

returned from a busy day to find the bar in the lv marriott closed already. wandered next door and found the bar open but the restaurant loses . my friend had eaten there the night before with a group and everyone enjoyed their meal. beautifully decorated.

the bar is small, intimate, and has artwork with monkeys on the walls .

bartender was pleasant and attentive .

pia zadora sings there, along with sonny james from the checkmates and a liza minnelli look alike .

fabulous time ! old time piano bar with a trio and great singing ! we even danced !

got seated an hour after our reservation after a member of our party made a stink. that being said, the rest of the experience was great. phillip took excellent care of our group. the food was excellent. they also have a very solid wine selection.

we were insulted by the arrogance & unacceptable service we received. our dessert was comped when we expressed our dissatisfaction. seated at 7:30 & food arrive at 9:15. felt like a hostage! been there, done it and won't go back.

wonderful food. great service. made us feel truly welcome. all topped off with the best martini i've had in las vegas.

the food is outstanding! service is excellent. prices are high.
the question is why so many bad reviews for such an obviously good restaurant.
the answer is also in the reviews " old fashioned". " old las vegas " "clubby".
i was un known to them, but was well dressed and was treated like an old friend. i noticed some younger folks dressed in tee shorts etc were shunted to the rear.
at a minimum i suggest wearing pants and a shirt. i think that's all you need to get in the club.
if you want to go to dinner in a tee shirt, any hotel on the strip will welcome you.
that said, they could not be more accommodating about special dishes and half portions etc and to repeat, the food is great.

worst service in vegas. waited more than a hour past our reservation time and talked to the owner who just shrugged his shoulders - didn't even offer a "sorry." this place is more pr than anything. the food's ok - nothing exceptional. they trade off the self proclaimed "rat pack" and celebrity hangout image, which may have been true decades ago but not anymore. don't waste your time or money when there are so many better options where you'll be treated as a guest.

better odds at blackjack. all atmosphere (save for the perpnderance of simians on canvas) and horrendous pricing. i've paid less for a 5-star italian dinner in manhattan. $38 for a pasta dish? and that is just pasta, no lobster tail, no filet.

i suppose this place has stayed around because of its proximity to the las vegas convention center. but for whatever reason, i would steer clear if you wish to protect your wallet.

the charm and charisma of piero's is what sets it apart from the others. it's a great place for italian food in las vegas.

should have stayed home.... my boyfriend and i are locals, early 30's and we both work in food/beverage. so, we know what is to be expected of such a restaurant. to be honest, i felt like i was at california pizza kitchen. our waiter, he didn't actually ever tell us his name, treated us like we were 18 year olds, with no money, who were wasting his time. he literally came to the table and said "hey, you want something to drink?' really???! my boyfriend had been out of the country for some time and i was looking forward to a lovely, professional, romantic atmosphere and i get a waiter who already has one foot out the door? we asked for sparkling water. it took him so long, that tap water and a wine list was brought to us before he returned. then, after stumbling through the specials, no one returned to the table to get a wine order for 15 minutes! fyi, the restaurant was almost empty and it was only 9pm. once the wine was ordered, our appetizers were brought to the table before the wine made it. and of course, only one appetizer was bought because speedy gonzalez either forgot to order mine, or ordered it incorrectly...i have a food allergy. once my app arrived, of course, the food i'm allergic to was present in the app. so i had to wait longer. oh did i mention, when he poured the wine, he wiped what was wet from the opened bottle with his hands!!!??? how unsanitary and unprofessional! where was the white cloth? as we finished the apps, they had the nerve to bring out our entrees before removing the app plates and then left mine on the corner of the table with the remains of the wet cloth from our apps. we literally had two people reaching and taking and pouring...it was ridiculous. he didn't refill our wine at a timely manner and was speaking to us before he actually reached the table. overall, the service was horrible and unprofessional. and the worst part is, this place is a gem and the food was delicious! but in my book, service creates the atmosphere and this guy ruined it for me. funny enough, he thought we weren't going to be good tippers (at least that's how he was treating us) and my guy is the kind who over tips. when he only left 20%, i knew he wasn't impressed with the service. way to go! we won't be returning.

i'm not sure about the other reviews, but every year we will go and they are superb. the service is a very dry italian, which makes it a lot of fun. they are very attentive, and frankly the service is great. the food is just as good. it is a bit expensive, but you get what you paid for. i had the swordfish which was the fish of the day, and it was amazing! thick and very juicy. it's worth going at least once if you're near the convention center.
