the food is always wonderful! the service can be a bit slow depending on your waitress, but so not a big deal. chicken-fried steak and gravy are spot on, the tea is really good, and breakfast is the best anywhere!!

my 2nd diner experience. again, very classic / old school diner. great food though the service was a bit off. the person taking care of me didn't really come back to see if i needed anything else or to refill my coffee. a different person eventually gave me a refill. also, i had to call and ask for some additional texas toast.

delicious, old-school food. this is an old-school restaurant with great food. i had the corned-beef hash, with biscuits and gravy, two eggs sunny side up and has browns. the hash browns were particularly good! i had a delicious breakfast with no complaints.

i eat here once a week. the service is always excellent and the food has always been until today. i ordered the pot roast and my knife would not cut it! i ate the sides and paid my bill. the cashier was a smart ass and blamed me for not flagging down my waitress. they lost a customer.

smoke filled - left immediately. this place needs to join the 21st century and go non-smoking. it's a tiny place and they think they can have smoking? it smells like an ashtray so it doesn't matter how good the food is, it's off my list.

great service, awesome breakfast food. great place to drop in for breakfast on saturday...or any day really. the belgian waffles were particularly delicious, and the service was fast and friendly (be sure to bring your southern manners). will be going back as soon as i can!

best breakfast. my family and i love coming here saturday mornings for breakfast. even if the line is long the wait isn't too bad. plus its worth the wait. i always make the comment to my hubby that i wonder if the lunch is good and he tells me its better then the breakfast. (he works nearby and comes for lunch)
but i just adore the pecan waffles and the petes special. great prices and great service. i am always pleased and stuffed by the end.

chicken fried chicken. our first time eating here was so good the food was excellent, we came on our lunch break, there was no waiting involved. our cups only got half empty before we received refills and the services is excellent. i may have found my regular lunch spot!!!!

fantastic place!. we stumbled upon pete's a couple years ago and what a happy discovery! pete's features great food at very reasonable prices. the staff is always warm and friendly. and they have the best hashbrowns on the face of the planet.

great breakfast spot. i love the home fry potatoes here, they are the best i have found in the metroplex, cooked with onions the right way. breakfast is always great and reasonably priced. really small and popular place, be prepared to wait on the weekends.

want to visit a cheers atmosphere. been going to pete's for over 30 years. best breakfast in towm & best price & best service -- it's just like home - the best of everything. the watresses know your name, and you feel like something special when you leave, due to the way you were treated. best hash browns in texas .. best grits too - cracker barrell can't hold a candle to pete's grits. nothing is frozen, everything is fresh & made to order. only place in town you will see patrons willing to stand in line for breakfast, it's that good !
