perry's steakhouse & grille

great atmosphere. perry's is pretty much the same from location to location. their steaks are great but their menu never really changes. i usually only go there for the pork chops as that is the only unique thing they have.

service is always great there though and the ambience is excellent. i can have a nice quite dinner with the girlfriend and not have to yell across the table to be heard.

more variety to your menu guys!

enjoyed it!. celebrated birthdays and anniversary tonight. it was very enjoyable. service was very good! my bone in cowboy ribeye was overcooked. med/well instead of med/rare. the refire of the steak took a long time and especially noticeable when the other couples were eating their meals. the replacement steak was perfectly cooked but it had a little too much gristle! they did take the steak off the bill when asked. the lobster mac and cheese was very good but pricey at $29. will definately return!

superb service delicious steaks, wonderful wines even with reservations had a 40 minute wait. i can’t say anything negative about our experience everything was excellent. bring plenty of money!

we were invited to dinner for birthday and were very impressed with the service at the bar and at our table. i had the famous“pork chop” and friend the filet both were plain out fantastic definitely a repeat

we chose perry’s to celebrate my parents anniversary. the whole staff is truly wonderful. the resturant is classy with an impressive selection of wine. food was absolutely delicious not to mention the awesome dessert presentation. eydie has exceptional customer service and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied. we will definitely choose perry’s for all of our celebrations.

mood lighting, check. courteous servers, check. delicious and expensive food, check. it's not a place you'd want to visit often, but it works for a special occasion. definitely go for the pork chop and split it with a fiend (or two!). it is huge and delicious - the crust is wonderful, as is the homemade applesauce. the only meat choice small enough to order for one (and not have to box up for leftovers) is the 6 oz filet. it was ok - but i wouldn't order it again unless i had them doctor it up (e.g., coffee crust, black and blue, etc.). the sides were tasty and are served family style. i wish we could have had dessert, but we were too full to enjoy anything else!

hate to nitpick, but at the price, i feel somewhat justified. my daughter (21), always asks for something fun and fruity with light alcohol. server couldn't grasp, continued to cite menu drinks. had to ask him three times to simply ask the bartender. he eventually just brought us the drink he recommended.

appetizers (tuna tartar and escargot) were great. had to speak to server about being attentive. sat for 10 minutes with empty drink. wife ordered filet med-rare "plus," and he said he understood. daughter ordered med-rare "light" and he said he would take care of it. both came out rare. very rare. had to send wife's back to be cooked.

brought out wrong wine.

inattentive server (better after i spoke with him). manager travis comped our wine, but didn't actually discuss our issues with us--just said "you seem unhappy, so i'm taking care of your wine.

my pork chop was great.

not the service or quality i've come to expect, nor feel entitled to given prices. we used to be regulars, but decided to do some in-town houston and woodlands dining recently. given i saw no sign of josh boltz, i'm guessing management has changed.

overall disappointing birthday evening.

here is the perry's champions experience: arrive to nice and cordial valet parkers; enter to find no fewer than three young snooty bimbos who will look at you like you're less than the pieces of meat the restaurant serves. i entered in a suit jacket with my wife without a reservation on a saturday night at 6:30 pm and was dismissed by the lead bimbo with a repeated hand-waving gesture and a command to go find a table in the bar area. once inside, the staff took about 30 minutes to get to us. we were there for the $44 anniversary dinner and the bill, with two drinks and a side dish, came to $125, before the tip (yes, it adds up quickly and everything is a la carte and many common drinks--$5 elsewhere--are in the $12+ range at perry's). we had to ask for bread, which took 25 minutes to arrive. food was superb, service was a bit stiff (no pleasantries, very robotic "how is everything tasting?"). takeout containers were same quality as los cucos--pure mushy white non-microwave-safe styrofoam. upon leaving, bimbos said not even a hint of "thank you" despite an empty foyer. valet guys were very polite and made us feel like vips.

p.s. also have visited perry's at memorial city and never had an issue with snootiness there--just pure professionalism throughout. that restaurant is a class act from start-to-finish and is exemplary among high-end houston-area steakhouses.

they have the tallest pork chop in the world here!. pork chop for lunch on thursdays is the best deal! but, it's an all around steak house. if you enjoy sitting at a bar and listen to piano music this is a must go. they are know of their bar area (if you know what i mean).
the steaks are delicious also. we go here all the time. i haven't been to any of the other locations. we love this one!!! close to home and the golf course. you can't get any better than that! they have a very large wine selection also.

order the pork chop lunch. you won't regret it. the chopped salad with bacon is wonderfully spicy and tasty. proper attire is required.

truly a great experience as our waiter arin took great care of us. all the food we ordered was spot on and we enjoyed every bite. i appreciate when someone does it right. thank you chris.

great place for a date - mushrooms are excellent, filet streak with blue cheese is over the top, and nice selection of wine. be sure make a reservation and wear nice apparel. it's definitely an upscale restaurant. o' do yourself a favor and try the chocolate cake - it takes about 20 minutes to prepare but it's awesome!

exceptional. my wife and i stopped though during houston's restaurant weeks 2012. some restaurants are what we like to term "reluctant participants" is this month long charity for the food bank of houston. fortunately perry's is not one of those establishments. we have eaten at perry's before and both the service and the food are legendary. if you go, order the porkchop... i know what you're thinking, "it's a steakhouse, why would i order a porkchop?" trust me you do not want to make the mistake of missing out on the porkchop! if you choose a steak it will be perfect too (just make sure someone else at your table orders the porkchop so you can get a taste). the combination of great food and exceptional service at perry's is hard to beat.
