the place for mexican!. dined there on a sunday after church time. the place was packed with families. the sound of the restaurant confirmed this. there was a number of folks picking up large take out orders. all good signs of a popular restaurant. we waited about 5 minutes for a free table. a chunky salsa with good body and texture and the right amount of heat was served with chips. the chips were not outstanding; i prefer the real thin chips but they were good, fresh with a lot of snap. ordered the beef fajitas and a real mexican coca-cola. awesome meal! meat was tender, seasoned perfectly with a good take home serving size along with the chunky bell peppers and onions which had the appropriate char from grilling. the dish arrived sizzling hot. sides included tortillas, rice, beans, pico, guac and sour cream. finished the meal with flan done in the traditional way and it was superb and the flavors and texture popped. the mexican coke, bottled with real cane sugar was reminiscent of the cokes i got as a kid when at the cadillac bar in nuevo laredo. elizabeth's service was appropriately attentive and well timed. thanks for a great dinning experience. we'll be back.
