we ended up here because we somehow had to waste an hour waiting for our "walk with the elephants" tour at the elephant sanctuary next door. after wondering through the market, we decided to enjoy some milkshakes and toasties to make up the rest of the time.
can i start by saying delicious milkshakes! and some unique flavors... when i saw peppermint crisp, i was immediately hooked! my only problem was that the chocolate wasn't crushed fine enough and the straw was too narrow to drink the thick milkshake through, so i ended up slurping it like a glass of water and eating the chocolate afterwards with a fork. my better half enjoyed his strawberry milkshake and fortunately wasn't left with strawberry chunks to fish out. but he agreed that the straw was too narrow for the thickness of the shake.
our food took a while to arrive, but it probably felt long because we were in a hurry, having enjoyed our milkshakes for too long. you can't really go wrong with a toasty, so we enjoyed it (in other words, the bread wasn't burnt and the ingredients were still good to eat). we agreed that my partner's chicken mayo was a better choice than my bacon and cheese, which was a bit dry.
overall, it's a nice pitstop if you're looking to waste time, want to relax after a day spent on your feet, or are just craving a good milkshake. i'd definitely come back for the milkshakes!
