good raw food, but a few dishes have excitotoxins. we've been to most of the raw food restaurants on the west coast. this is a very good one. a few dishes have excitotoxins, but it's much better than other raw food restaurants in that regard. i recommend this place to anyone who wants healthy, delicious food.

completely worth it. i visited peace pies just this last sunday for brunch, and the gentleman behind the counter was wonderful, knowledgable and gave great service! the food is so well crafted, and i know the processes are at times painstaking (thus the prices vary) to keep the food raw and fresh, but hands down, this is the best place to have a "burger" or a mock tuna wrap, totally delish, the kale chips included were happily munched and the green drink was so yummy, i took another one home (plus many more items including the cook book!). best thing of all - all of this is so healthy for my body, i left loving myself for going to peace pies and plan on going there again soon for healthy happy hours with my friends! thanks for existing peace pies!

yum!. to follow up on susie's comment, they are not a new restaurant and have been around for a bit of time. they have relocated and i am grateful for their new place being up here in north county! their cinnamon rolls are incredible and i know that all of their food is made with so much love! thank you peace pies for all that you do!
check them out at the leucadia farmer's market as well. although the menu is much more limited their food is just as amazing.

good food. bad business.. i went to peace pies today for lunch with a friend and sampled a variety of new foods. the menu didn't give many details - but the gentleman behind the counter seemed knowledgeable and gave us details about the various dishes and methods of preparation. we were a little concerned that there were no prices on the menu - but went ahead and ordered anyway. after eating our lunch, we inquired about the prices and were told that they didn't want to print them because they "varied depending on the prices of ingredients". i guess i buy "market rate" when it comes to lobster, but not kale and falafel. after totaling up our lunch the "nice" gentleman told us it would be $34 - which seemed really high for the amount of food we had eaten. he even had the nerve to say, "only $17 each!" i guess i would expect to pay that much at some places, but for a hole-in-the-wall that is just getting started it seemed outrageous. my friend and i both felt like the prices might be subjective, depending on the cashiers perception of the ability of the patron to pay. guess if i ever go there again i'll wear my torn jeans, put my hair in dreads and ride up on a bike...
