a group of us visited queenstown over the christmas holidays. on our first night after a lovely walk around the botanical gardens, we headed into the main town in search of some delicious ice cream and patagonia chocolates seemed like the place to be.
located in a prime spot right on the waterfront, it is a bustling place, popular with the locals and tourists and there was a very long line! the ice cream choices are endless - my favourite flavours were their award winning patagonia dark chocolate with macadamias (which had the same consistency and flavour as a rich chocolate mousse), the cream caramel and passionfruit.
staff are friendly and welcoming and worked well under pressure considering the first time we visited was christmas day!
they also sell chocolates, hot drinks, a range of desserts and 'chocolate shots'. all of the chocolates were well presented and looked delicious.
there is ample seating both inside and out. they also have free wifi, so just ask for the password when you pay at the counter.
overall, patagonia was a great first foodie experience in queenstown - i will definitely be returning!!!
