it's back!. yay! the old owners are back again and pastizzi cafe is again what it once was.
great pastizzis, great pasta and lasagna at great prices. the only bad thing is that the queues are coming back too! it's worth the wait for an awesome cheap eat.

nice pastizzi's. they serve some nice pastizzi but they take ages delivering a cup of coffee. the place is small so its hard to get a table a times.so on most occassions im foreced to take way the pastizzi.
the people behind the counter can be rude at times especially if they are busy.

the pastizzi are to die for which is what happens if you are waiting for a coffee - 15 or minutes to get a coffee is not acceptable no matter how delicious the food is.

horay. guys the original owners are back , and are kicking spaggetti butt again.!!! my favourite place too eat with friends. food is just so wholesome and tasty. best ravioli ive ever had, pumpkin with pink sauce. xx

we decide to stick with the savoury and i limit myself to just three seeing as they are not exactly a health food with all that flaky pastry. after drooling at the counter for about 5 minutes i ended up choosing spinach and ricotta, pea, and salmon dill and ricotta.

good news! old owner is back. good news for newtowners. as of this weekend, the old owner of the pastizzi cafe is back, and the cafe once more has a huge queue inside. me want my fave chicken & mushroom pastizzi!

i've been trying to give the newly run business a go as i was in love with the previously managed and i just can't do it anymore. the constant disappointment is breaking my heart from what use to be my fav spot on king st. does anyone know where the old owners went so we can hunt them down to open up the best cafe on king street once again. boycotting from now on too!

i would have loved to try every single pastizzi but that would have been overdoing it considering we only had 6 of us and each of us were getting a pasta main each!

the old owners are back...huzzah!. barra with seafood garlic is delish...

nonna does a great job. always busy. sometimes a bit too cool for school. however the food is sublime. keep an eye out for the baked barra and pesto prawns.

pannacotta good. (for the best pannacotta go to d'arenberg winery in sa).

overall, if u eat here, you are going to be well fed and seduced by oil, garlic and good ingredients.

the director of pastizzi and pasta cafe was one of the three directors of the original pastizzi cafe, newtown. however, this director became greedy and felt he should take the business over with no warning and kick all 30 staff members out overnight and left the other two directors with no explanation, so... just so you people know, this pastizzi and pasta cafe which has traditional maltese and italian food, is now being run by an man from bangladesh who kicked the traditional maltese owners out

hmmmm is this all true???. its funny how all of these comments are from when the better cafe was there!!!

don't be fooled pastizzi and pasta cafe is new bring back the original pastzizi cafe!! they started in april 2011 by kicking the owners out!!

people like this make me so mad... i just had to share my thoughts...

yes yes the pastizzis are awesome but for me it's the best place in town for pasta! the prawn & crab linguini with chilli tomato sauce - usually on the specials board - is to die for. forget italian, the best pasta is maltese!

... these diamond shaped pastries certainly seem to be popular with the local population. a ten minute wait and we finally score a table. the cafe is very small, and being packed to the rafters
