wegreater had to wait but it was worth it for sure!! sat at the bar and had a drink and appetizers and got seated abt an hour later. the food was great and the atmosphere was just the right mix of quaint and hip!! loved the hot garlic sauce and the location is another bonus!

create your own pasta dish has a ton of options and comes with hefty portions. it's a small but trendy restaurant that's good for dates or hanging out drinking wine.

overall, we awarded lunch at pastabilities a six out of 10 on the bhs scale, which is nothing if not scientific and exacting. the ambiance here is modern and cool, sort of industrial loft-like, very downtown. it’s not the best italian food to be found in the salt city, but it would be a sweet place to come on a date night, and it was fun to hit it up for lunch. we enjoyed our meal, and especially that addictive, very special dipping sauce that i may have to try to replicate in my own kitchen quite soon.

awesome!! we waited about an hour but worth every moment!! and tge cocktails were delish. loved the spicy tomato sauce! we loved have vegetarian options but someone also tried the meatballs and said they were "heaven"!! we will be regulars!!

best in syracuse!. so be fore warned... you're going to wait for a table. maybe as long as an hour on weekends. but it's worth it and more. this place has been one of if not the best place to dine in cny for years! they've been around for over 20 years and they've never failed to impress. the menu changes a every two to three months with regard to entree's, salads, and the one house pizza special they have. the spicy hot tomato oil is the signature dish and they serve it with home made stretch bread minutes after they seat you. they have a great wine list and a excellent bar. they rotate the art as often as they do the menu and it's all local artists and available to purchase. the bread, the pasta, and the service.... never disappoints and is always super!

hostess not good, food good.. the place does not take reservations and it was very busy when we arrived. the hostess said 45 min for a party of 3. we waited a the bar and had some drinks, about 35-40 minutes into our wait, we asked where were we on the list, she said, there is only one table in front of you.....so, we waited thinking it would be quick. to our surprise about 6-7 groups (anywhere from 2, 3, 5, 6 people) were seated before us. when we asked again, she said, there is this one table that is taking longer than expected. i said, just give us the next open table!

we ended up waiting for over an hour for a table on a wed night.

pasta seemed home made, good sauces, good bread, good dipping oil, but the experience with the hostess makes me not want to come back again.

food is one part of the experience....service and honest feedback to customers is equally important.

place was jam-packed - we waited two hours for a table, but it was worth every minute of the wait. service was excellent for how crowded it was. the atmosphere complemented the meal very well - good music, lighting, etc. now for the food - oh my the food. the highlight of the pasta dishes was the sauce - i tried the vodka cream and pesto - both tasted hand crafted with the freshest ingredients. salads and desserts were superior as well. hopefully this place is a sign of the future dining trends in syracuse.

1st visit and i will be back!. i have been wanting to try pastabilities for awhile. the location could not be any more perfect for me. my boyfriend and i had a wonderful dinner tonight! he got a steak sandwhich and i got a build my own pasta dish we shared a bottle of wine all for under $35! you really can not beat that. our server was excellent came by at all the right moments but never annoyed us. i enjoyed the atmosphere. the food was really good as well, the portions were just right not to big but not to small. i cant wait to go back again to try something else!

good service, tasty food. this is a nice little italian themed restuarant with tasty apps and pasta dishes. i recall the service being very quality and enviroment being quite impressive. i would definitely go back.

omg. okay i have to say i have never had italian this good! seriously!! and the waitress i had was so pleasant, so enthusiastic, just as sweet as could be! loved this place, and likely will never eat italian anywhere else except home!

excellent the "hot" tomatoe sauce is worth the trip alone. garlic was good. southwestern lasagna fantastic! ribs were amazing. def a place to visit for good but light italian.

not to be missed. there are few restaurants in syracuse (or anywhere else) that consistently do so well in terms of food, service and setting. whether for a last minute dinner with friends or a celebration with family. . .pasta's always adds to the evening.

imagine a good restaurant open on sunday!!. pastabilities is a genuine, charming, yet basic, version of a pre "olive garden" consistently good pasta joint that is open on sun's. the name says it all --endless choices and always tasty. service excels as does the price. good for families, dates, singles, you get the picture! delicious!

homemade pasta is wonderful. great service. pasta sauces are so creative. the spicy tomato sauce is addictive. you wont regret it.
