decent for san leandro. my wife and i were staying in sl overnight for business reasons and needed to find a place close to our hotel for a quick dinner. came up with paradiso which is in an older section of town. the ambiance is not upscale but falls into the category of neighborhood gem.
we had the caesar salad and crab & avocado appetizer. the former was just ok and the latter was tasty but a bit heavy in the use of mayo. my wife had grilled salmon which was fresh, well-prepared and tasty. i had the penne pasta with sausage which would have been better with a little less tomato sauce.
all in all we got out of there, including a bottle of wine for @$90 which was a little too expensive for the quality of what we received. however, i'm sure that return trips would result in better choices, like the salmon, so i would say that give it a try if you happen to be down that way.
