they have good biryanis and good curries. have tried their veg and non-veg biryani, both are good. have tried some paneer dishes with naan and absolutely loved it. biryanis come with raita and salan. i believe you can ask for onion, lemon, and pickle on the side but not really sure.

ambience is good and very lively on saturday nights. parking could get tight so you might have to look around a bit on busy nights. its a good idea to book in advance before going there for dinner.

this is a decent place but over-hyped. the food was average and way too spicy for my pallette. we ordered gobi manchurian as starters, malai kofta and kadhaai paneer along with bread basket for mains; and veg biryani to go along. none of the items really stood out. the actual flavor of the dish was overpowered by the spice.

really good biriyanis at the place we reside on. had takeaways for their chicken biriyanis. served hot the biriyanis had the right amount of masala and aroma. we loved it.

ordered the goat biriyani and mirch ka salan. goat biriyani was good with a lot of pieces of goat. the rice and flavoring could be better. the salan masala was perfect but the egg plant was under cooked and lacked the treatment it deserves. slit it and put the masala first and saute it well before adding rest of the masala.

had been to this location for lunch along with a couple of friends. we ordered egg dum biryani, kadai paneer, mirchi ka saalan and butter naan. biryani was nicely done, aromatic and nicely done; kadai paneer was tasty, paneer was soft and veggies were cooked to perfection; lastly, mirchi ka saalan was below par, gravy had strong coconut flavor and lacked spiciness of the mirchi which itself was not properly cooked. on the whole it was good, however, interiors were bad, tables dirty, crockery dated and service average.

i am here at santa clara for two weeks and this joint is just across the road where i am put up. from the very first evening after landing here, found this place to be my most convenient one to have dinner. being a solo, ordered a chicken biriyani thinking i might have to waste some of it which i really hate. but, found the quantity as just right for me at that time being hungry for 6 hours after the last meal in the flight. the taste of the biriyani was just awesome and there were enough of chicken amazingly soft cooked, there was spicy portion, but not at all hot (not tikha) which i loved very much. being a hyderabadi, had been to the various paradise joints at hyderabad several times, but the taste and quality i guess is much better here. the service was courteous too.  went another day for 2nd time, and had kadhai chicken and garlic naan, still just awesome. went another day for 3rd time, this time took two of my indian colleagues staying here, and they also liked it very much. spoke to the owner nikitha on my first visit and she told this is a franchise of the hyderabad joint. overall, if you miss indian food in santa clara, this is surely one of the best savior in this el camino real. :)

i think paradise is the best biryani joint right now. and i daresay (to much disapproval from hyderabadis) it's even better than the giant monster of a restaurant in secunderabad (i'm looking at you, paradise circle!)

we tried the lamb biryani, egg biryani, the chicken 65 & the paneer masala. the lamb masala & chicken 65 were absolutely divine, especially when combined. the egg biryani was good too & so was the paneer masala. lastly we topped it off with a shahi tukda, which was a bit watery though.

i wouldn't really enjoy eating there, looking at how tightly it's packed. but i'll definitely order from there in the future.

on el camino closer to san tomas. i have been here a couple of times. the service is decent. the hyderabadi chicken biryani is above average considering you are eating outside india. the portions are fairly large, usually 1 biryani is good enough for 2 people. the roti was well made. the chicken tikka dry was quite nicely made. overall a good biryani joint to visit once a quarter.

its hyderabadi biryanis, with a little yogurt, some goat or chicken curry, and shorba(broth) has a magnetism that is hard to resist. but the rest of the restaurant experience is off the mark. routine expectations: that empty dishes be carted away to clear the table for incoming dishes, that there will be a symmetry between the number of plates and the number of spoons delivered, remained unfulfilled. but what are a few logistical shortcomings in the front of divine food that “recover'd paradise to all mankind”? it is reputed that the mathematician ramanujan would write down solutions to well known and unsolved mathematical problems without bothering with the intervening steps, and whe
