after my bowl of ramen at hakataya, i decided to call it a day and walked towards the carpark. as i passed pappa roti, the strong buttery coffee scent caught my attention so here i am...lining up like an addict. the small suburban bakery specializes in malaysian style sweet drinks and one type of bread: crispy coffee bun. i ordered a green tea latte frappe and signature bun ($7 total).

the coffee bun was straight outta the over with a fragrant crispy coffee top layer. the bun presents an addictive coffee, buttery and almost sweet scent. first bite and you will realize it's pillow soft, feather light in texture and matched perfectly with the crunchy coffee top layer. the surprise treat is a salted butter centre which adds a unique twist to the flavour profile. bravo! 5/5

the green tea latte frappe on the other hand was average at best with fragrant green tea scent but lacked the creamy and sweetness to make this drink shine. 3.5/5

hint: the coffee bun is perfect from my humble opinion. so do yourself a favour and follow ur nose and heart 😊!

a must for all coffee lovers! freshly baked on site, these coffee flavoured buns are delicious, every bite is packed with beautiful coffee flavour ! the bun itself is soft, moist and always a delight! the owner is always onsite, very friendly and makes an effort to ensure his customers are looked after! give it a try if you are around eight miles plains!

papparoti produce one thing only, malaysian coffee buns! we could see them being made and baked, with coffeecream coating a soft bun in a spiralled fashion

tried to attempt this eatery last month for a nice bun but was too early. i re-attempted yesterday at 07:15am and the bun was just baked.
owner is a very friendly and passionate person. he was running the show by himself at that moment but i could not see any delay of orders (i was not the only customer there).
needless to say, both my flat white and the bun remain consistent standard. the bun is always yummy😋😋😋

this is our favourite papparoti outlet. the owner/manager is always welcoming and friendly. every papparoti coffee bun is perfectly baked and served warm. the coffees are always hot and flavoursome.

a perfect pit stop for some delicious hot coffee buns and coffee. will be back soon!

pappa roti buns are something special (get them when they first come out of the oven so the butter is still melty and gooey from the inside while crisp from outside) really nice fruity teas, we had the mango and peach with the fruit pieces. other branches provide toppings on the buns like nutella and caramel. this branch only does the plain. good chance to try them plain for a change.

i don’t have any photos of their beautiful coffee buns. but those buns are literal heaven in bun form. they’re packed with a buttery taste and if you have it fresh or when it’s still warm. the centre will be all melty butter-ish and the saltiness of the butter balances out the sweetness of the bun itself. overall, a delicious tasting bun hehe

these coffee buns are consistently good. the crispy coffee flavoured exterior and the light fluffy, buttery inside makes this one of my favourite baked goods. the aroma of these buns coming out of the oven is, heavenly.

the couple who own/operate this particular outlet are genuine and delightful. i feel happy spending money there, knowing that i'm supporting such nice people.

close friends of mine will know that for the last several months i've decided to finally take my learning to drive seriously and renew my learners (which has long expired since i first got it). having survived the first few grueling weeks of doing loops around my suburb, i've finally gotten to a stage where i can comfortably drive to neighbouring suburbs to forage for food. which is why i decided to reward myself with some bread from pappa roti last week. arriving on the sunday afternoon, i found it to be still somewhat full of customers happily munching on their signature coffee buns.

a small shop with delicious buns! the coffee buns are delicious - crispy on the outside while warm and buttery on the inside with slight hints of coffee. i always order the $5 deal with a coffee and a bun. very delicious and best eaten fresh while still warm!

introduced to the soft, fluffy coffee flavoured, melted butter buns here by a friend of mine. really enjoyed them fresh out of the oven.
nothing else extraordinary about the place.
