great service!

the worst experience i ever had !!! we were looking forward to visiting this restaurant. when we arrived today i had a little dog (teacup yorkie) with me, a service dog with a special bag to put her in when we are dinning. as soon as the manager saw i had a dog he was very rude, so unwelcoming to us. he told me there was a no dog policy even after i told him my dog is a service dog. he told me other diners don’t want to see dogs. my dog is silent and never distribute anyone sitting outside area and inside the dog bag!!!
it is horrible attitude towards customers, especially new customers and made me feel so uncomfortable. i will never come back to a place which act so unwelcoming i really was shocked, but the host just said bye and walked a way. i go to restaurants with my dog from la to newport to san diego and these days owners who are hostile to small silent dogs sitting outside area in bags do not deserve to be successful!!!

fine, very fine. when i spend 3 digits per person, i expect some flavours which surprise and some which remind me of meals long past. i had both, tonight. well done.

don't go here!. don't go here if you want to be covered for any accident you might have while dining. i broke my crown eating here and, although the owner *appeared* concerned at the time, when i finally reached him by phone after i had my crown replaced, he refused to even submit to his insurance company. what else is insurance *for* if not for *accidents* such as mine.

i even asked him "what if a woman had slipped?" he replied "well, they do wear high heels..." indicating that even in that case, it's let the buyer beware.

personally, as a small business owner myself, *anything* that happens on my premises is my responsibility. that is *exactly* why i have insurance!

the service was very professional and experienced. the restaurant was beautiful, it is a contemporary french themed food-wise.

great meal last night. we were a party of 4 and everyone raved about everything. braised short ribs are awesome. some truly great "sleepers" on the wine list. love this place!

one thing is for certain, paon does not skimp on the portions. the plate was beautifully presented with 3 quenelles of a sweet potato puree, and a nice piece of confit duck leg topping some slices of duck breast which were sitting on some turnip greens with a drizzle of a balsamic vinegar sauce encircling the whole dish. i took my knife and fork and went to cut into the duck leg, and it just fell apart, it was so tender. i took a scoop of duck and sweet potatoes, and it just melted in my mouth.

i did not like their service. the waiters were not very friendly. except for one guy. missed his name. did not have a french atmosphere

excellent! my wife and i enjoyed a wonderful valentine's dinner at paon this year. we were very well taken care of. really enjoyed the whole "experience" which it truly was. great food and wine. we enjoyed sitting outside and were plenty warm with all of the heaters. highly recommended for a fine meal or special occasion.
