pan asian - itc grand chola

after hearing about this place been there with my colleagues. as heard and expected the place was like a real palace.

sushi is something i tried it here for the first time. the crew guided me how to mix and enjoy the true flavors of sushi....

try their lobster and crab sticks along with sticky rice...... yum yum yum will be there soon for some more..

but a bit heavily priced.... but worth to be there.

one of the best places for asian cuisine in chennai. must visit if you are an asian food lover. 

ambiance is amazing (needless to mention since its located in itc grand chola). the service is just amazing. the staff are very attentive, making suggestions and prompt with the service. the restaurant also offers a very wide menu to choose from. food is very tasty.

overall, an enjoyable experience.

food was amazing. service was good but slow and got slower when more tables got filled. we went for the sunday brunch. it dose not include mock tail as shown in zomato but they gave us a complimentary drink anyhow. i never knew salads could taste so good until i had them here. deserts were yummy . i will definitely visit here again.

decided to stay here a night after the awards ceremony - and it was one of the best stays i have ever had. the rooms had a constant display of all the restaurants in the hotel and we were deciding between choosing italian food, chinese or going to the royal vega - but pan asian won the debate.
our butler made a reservation for us facing the kitchen just the way we like it, and it was overwhelming to see the efficiency at the pass and the skill with which the chefs were doing it. it was even more brilliant to see a female expedite the process - finally seeing a lady at the head of such a big kitchen made my heart swell with pride.
we started with a litre pitcher of a margarita - which i found wasn't as 'strong' as i prefer. still a very fresh accompaniment to the meal.
we ordered char siu pork buns, golden fried prawns and mother had the dumpling soup. everything was absolutely perfect. the buns were sticky and sweet on the outside and the pork was well done on the inside, and was spicy enough to make the dish taste like the perfect savory snack. prawns were like butterflies floating in my mouth as they were pillowy soft and perfectly done. the soup broth is what i base my opinions on and boy, it won my heart.
the mains were poached red snapper, crispy spiced chicken and vegetable stir fried noodles. the snapper still doesn't fade in my memory as the fish melted in my mouth with the delicate hints of spice and ginger coming in as layer after layer, to give a complex flavor. the noodles weren't as extraordinary as the fish, but still bravo! 

the finest restaurants in probably, one of the finest hotels in india can never disappoint. itc grand chola is a memory i can never forget- the service is impeccable right from the time we stepped into the building, got our suites, and left.

the most special thing about itc grand chola is its food. they serve a variety of delicious food. i could see the chefs cooking in front of me while i was dining at pan asian. they serve authentic thai curry which was just too mouth watering. the noodles weren't that good but the chinese curry dishes were nice. soup was fantastic and the starters were good.

it was my wife's birthday and i wanted to take her out to some place exotic. she is a huge fan of chinese food and so i decided to take her to the best chinese place in the city. the destination was a surprise. so when i turned my car into itc grand chola, my wife and mother-in-law were thrilled. the sheer size of the property is breathe taking. the lighted building in the night is a beauty. after getting past the lobby and the grand staircase, we reached the pan asian restaurant on the 1st floor. there were other restaurants in the floor as well. the pan asian opens to a display of a fine collection of wine bottles. the ambience is perfect for a chinese place, right from the plates to the red glass for drinking water. the service was impeccable. our waiter helped us through the menu. we finally decided on having the chef special duck salad, chef's signature lemongrass and chilli paste prawn fried rice, stir fried chicken noodles and a crispy salmon sushi roll. the duck was exquisite. it was a very different meat from everything i have tasted before and the flavours were amazing. the lemongrass and chilli fried rice was good and so was the noodles. i've never had sushi before. after some skepticism, finally tried it and i must say, it was delicious. the dish looks exotic. when you eat it, it just a melts in your mouth. what better place to try sushi for the first time. finally they brought the birthday cake for my wife. it was a chocolate mousse cake. it was brilliant. the bill came to inr 4000+. not bad at all at this price point. great service, brilliant ambience, delicious food. i can't ask for more.

there's something always special about a 5 star dining. amazing ambience, feel good friendly staff, an amazing place overall to dine. the place or palace is exquisite. you'll take some time to go around visit the massive prestigious proud profile of this itc hotel inside out.
ambience, amazing! the lights, flooring, chandeliers, wooden finish looks fantastic. about the food, you would go gagas over what to choose over. thai, chinese, japanese you name it, they prepare it. i was welcomed by our chef on to our table, he was a really friendly bloke!

i must admit it's quite expensive, but i guess it's worth it. if you think you got to try this royal dine out with your date or family without making a fuss over the cash in your purse i must say, you are in for some good time!

definitely the quality has dropped. from the starters to the main course nothing was upto the mark. the dim sums were good, however every other starter was a disappointment. the main course was a disaster with both the rice and noodles lacking flavour. the desserts were top notch in both taste and quality as expected from an itc property. definitely wouldn’t waste my money going back here again.

we were quite surprised to see huge rats playing hide and seek in the restaurant which was fully packed. i am sure they are aware of it as when we raised it to the manager , he just asked the service guys there to place few rat glue traps. no apologies ..nothing!

the ambience is of course amazing
the food is made to order. i would not call it out of the world, but it was really good
though the options for a vegetarian is less, whatever is available is quite good
the dish that stood out was the mapo tofu. the tofu was so soft and the flavours were quite simple but good.
the service.. no words. we were a group of 8 and they took excellent care of us. special call out to manoj for that (i think i got the name right)
overall a great experience

the staff was on hands on one of the best  i have ever had the pleasure of been served by and the restaurant was very accommodating of our dietary restrictions. the establishment has a nice design and inviting, fine-dining feel. they made us very comfortable and were very accommodating! sushi was excellent, and try the curry dishes, excellent also.theirs no denying that it is expensive dining experience but it as worth the money i spent.

one of the best pan asian fine dining places in chennai. good ambience , great service and amazing food. ordered grilled prawns for starters and nasi goreng for mains. absolutely lip smacking. left me wanting for more. overall a great place !

ordered a thai dish and a japanese dish from this resturant as room service during my stay. the food was tasteful and loved every bite of it. however i was kinda surprised that with thai green curry they did not had a side portion of rice, thus we had to order is seperately. clearly a tactic to earn more. i expected better from itc.

after out wonderful experience at ottimo cucina, we decided to try out pan asian. but it was a let down compared to ottimo. the dishes were very ordinary in taste. the service made up for it though, with the staff being extremely responsive. only in terms of taste, i hope they improve the quality because being such a huge brand, they should try to differentiate themselves in terms of the taste.
