awesome bread, pies snd sausage rolls. reasonable prices. reasonable coffee. good service.

best pies in sa by far. otto's is hamazing place for pies. i am a huge pie freak and have tried most places around adelaide but by far otto's is the #1 place to grab a pie. when i feel like a pie i have to travel 40mins to go to the best place on earth for one.

there is only one downside, all things come to a end. but there is always a next time to feel like a fantastic otto's pie.

deplorable customer service. with around 8 staff on the floor, one would expect clean tables and a smile, but apparently that's a big ask on a saturday afternoon. extremely rude mature lady, suspected owner, used vocabulary such as 'huh' and 'what' when ordering our pastries. 1/10 would not recommend.

the sign on the door says "best bakery in the adelaide hills". which is a bold claim, but it's certainly up there with lobethal bakery and millies at mount barker as being pretty good.

flat out on weekends selling like hotcakes to the hahndorf tourist crowds, but also selling because they're good.

their savouries as great, but their sweets are really outstanding. black forest cheesecake, chocolate tarts and a range of german inspired bits and pieces.

good coffee and nice sandwiches and rolls that they'll make on the spot.

a tried and true winner.

a must visit place upon your trip to hahndorf. they serve some real delicious and authentic german cookies, cakes and baked variety. a fragrance that pulls u to this bakery and makes ur eating and drinking here a memorable one.

i am so glad that me and my friend found this bakery. being a vegetarian my eating options are a little limited. but if me and my friends plan to hangout in hahndorf then i completely sorted since i love eating here. the staff is amazing too.. will visit again.

what more could you want from a visit to hahndorf? spring sunshine, german themed everything and otto’s bakery selling “award winning” vanilla slices the size of your head. i was happy to oblige with my portion and strolled happily down the picturesque high street, chomping away until nothing remained. at only $4.60 for a very generous sized piece, i wasn’t anticipating the quality of the ingredients being so good if i’m honest.

came here for a quick breakfast before wine tasting.
$13.50 for 2 coffees and a bacon and egg brioche i thought was pretty good value for money. brioche quite decent too.

one of my favorite cafes / bakeries when in south australia. food is fresh and tasty. pies and sausages rolls made at location and taste amazing. cakes are all fresh and taste so good. great staff

ended up here after all day of walk and shopping. must say was quite disappointed with the taste of the food. had quiche and coffee. left food half eaten.

great donuts, great coffee, good pies. sausage rolls were pretty ordinary, but if you don't eat one you'll be fine. friendly service. just a little pricey.

otto's is a must-visit when you're up in hahndorf. the coffee is excellent, the chocolate donuts are monstrous, and the vanilla slice is second to none. a hahndorf institution.

large bakery with a good selection of pastries and cakes, stick to these as i purchased a sausage roll that was extremely chunky and inedible. the donuts are a hit and the vanilla slice is subtle and well textured. standard county bakery fare, however, slightly disappointing given the location.

standard country bakery, but nothing outstanding! the kransky was disappointing given the location (hahndorf) and chicken pie was mostly thickened gravy and very old mushrooms.

pretty good bakery in a region that still has strong, independent local bakers. very good vanilla slice. ok pies. "sourdough" is not sourdough but that could just be the staff on the day getting it wrong.
