i stay at lake oswego monthly on business and have tried nearly all the resturants. the log is the best of the high end. high service, great food. there are many choices even for those who want to watch their calories. fish is fresh and moist,and desserts are the bomb. go for the warm cookies and ice cream or hot molten lava chocolate cake. yummo

poor food preparation.. the food is inconsistent and overpriced. it is commercial ingredients done poorly. little or no farm to table entries, inadequate preparation and overpriced. wine and beer selections are limited. have sent several dishes back recently, been promised, and these are not forthcoming. i will search for a new venue.

loved it! we have been there several times, and they have worked out the kinks that new places seem to go through. the food was great, service attentive but not too chatty or overbearing. wine list is small but good, try the iceberg salad and catfish. fun and cozy, sit in bar if you're on a date night, or the dining room is great with the family. locally owned, not a corporate mono-flavor bore.

this place had a nice setting. it wasn't too loud and was priced about what you would expect. i ordered a new york steak with grilled mushrooms and asparagus. the steak was amazing, cooked perfectly medium rare. the asparagus was incredibly smoky and i did not like it at all, as the smoke was overpowering. the mashed potatoes and fried onions on it were also very good. even though i didn't like the asparagus, the rest was awesome including the service. i would definitely suggest this spot.

a great date night or business diner. classy and elegant but not over the top. casual in dress. good steak and other american food. classy patrons and a private environment. good drinks. this is a good place to take a professional party.

i quite enjoyed the beef tenderloin tips sautéed with yamhill mushrooms and finished with a cabernet balsamic demi glaze.

i keep coming back for the excellent steelhead lunch. why settle for less? get there early. the parking lot is jammed.

hmm that was interesting. very up and down visit. wife had the coconut shrimp salad shrimp were good but salad was just chopped lettuce with a can of mandarin oranges thrown on top. my steelhead was good but the wild rice was bland and lumpy. not taking down my like as of yet but this place needs a very good showing the next time we stop by.

late night visit as we started at 9. room still packed and people were in after us. service was good and waits for food not bad. my salmon was good not great. ciopono was ok. nice chunks of fish but just a wee bit salty. stuffed shrimp were very good, best dish we had. a nice, albeit more expensive, change from late night at applebee's or olive garden.

happy hour!. i recently moved to the area and was so excited to try this place because of the reviews. went for happy hour with a friend and was blown away! the food was delicious and so inexpensive. we had the lettuce wraps (perfectly spicy and the chicken was such good quality) and the artichoke dip (chips would be salty on their own, but with that super creamy dip it was divine). that with two drinks and a six dollar tip was $20. i'll be back so often.

these folks are truly restaurant pros. the burgers and fries (fresh) are the best in portland.

stanford knock-off. service is above average and employs a number of ex-stanfords/pcr employees. at the price points, food quality is average to below average.

happy hour!. this hapy hour menu is awesome! portions are big, prices are great, and the food is delicious! no corners cut here! the fish tacos are huge! they are like $3 and are so tasty! fresh grilled fish, fresh crip cabbage and the sauce is delish! lime wedge and salsa on the side! it is hard to eat more than one happy hor menu item because of size!
travis is an awesome bartender!!!! professional, friendly, attentive!
love this place!
