i have a ton of backlogs and i want to slowly (but surely) finish them, focusing on establishments from cebu before i officially go back to manila. 😹
i discovered this place again because of jp. amazingly, even as i've been living and working in mactan for a while now, none of my local friends actually know about his awesome hole-in-the-wall restaurant. hahaha 😹 i've kept this on my must-visit list for almost a year now.
so when mls and ejb were in mactan, they asked me for recommendations on good eats. i brought them to this place, and as soon as we came to the place i got a call from working asking me to come back, talk about bad timing. 😿 but i'm glad that even as i had to leave shortly after the food came it, they still had their lunch there. i read ej's glowing review, and i think they enjoyed so yey! they were both so nice as well that they left a whole serving of food so i can also try them, and so i am writing this review. 😻
1.) spicy beef and roti paratha
this was delicious! the sauce was great, it had a nice curry flavor and the meat was very tender, even as it was already cold when i ate it. i still appreciated it very much. the roti that came with it was also very delicious. 😻
2.) mee goreng
jusko ansarap! the spiciness was great and exactly the way i like it. the noodles was nicely booked and the they were actually very generous with the toppings. the falvor of the stir-fried noodles was very well balanced - savory with the right amount of salty, a tinge of sweet and a whole lot of good. i really liked it! ❤️
3.) nasi goreng
this was my favorite in indonesia, and i'm glad their version is very authentic. i particularly liked that they put crispy anchovies (dilis)! it really made the dish explode with flavor, but not too much. the rice was of a very nice texture, and the fried rice wasn't oily at all. i absolutely loved this dish! 😻
i will definitely come back to this restaurant! it is such a gem in the island of mactan! 😻
